well...apparently the tickets we bought were "wrong"
now...i admit.....i should have checked them more closely.
anyway, spring break technically......at least in all the school calendar stuff.....starts the 30th.
the kids have the two days of the weekend off before then.
anyway. ......i thought my ex and i had talked about it.....but apparently there was some kind of misunderstanding. I told my dad to get the tickets any time between the afternoon of the 27th through the 30th. with empahsis on the 28th or 29th.
dad ended up getting the tickets for the evening of the 30th. their flight gets into denver at 10:41pm.
now...when dad told me about it....he didn't mention the "PM" part.
i stupidly ASSUMED that it was "AM" .....oops...which i had wished it was on the weekend instead of monday...but ex and i had talked about it being the 30th if it absolutely had to be.
so 10:41 am on the last day in our plans was unfortuante.....but not the end of the world.
well.....tonight i get a call from ex. *frown*
"what the hell is this about the flight on monday night!?"
"if you don't change these tickets i'm taking you to court for contempt!"

of course.....the tickets are so cheap that they can't be refunded. we may be able to work something out with the airline....special circumstances....but even if we CAN get the tickets refunded......a flight on a weekend will cost about twice as much or more.
i'm not really sure what dad was thinking when he booked a flight that doesn't get in till almost 3 hours past the kids bedtime......plus an hour drive time home on their end. and that's IF the flight is on time.
the court order states that any traveling must be finished by 7pm.
it pisses me off that i can understand why my ex is pissed off.
it puts me in a really awkward position that i can see his point.....but dad's buying the tickets.....so.......GRRRRR.
i just don't know how to "fix" this.
i feel rather sick.
