Women should be a species of their own. And, to say that when I am a woman myself! I hate to say it, and I do not mean to bash my own gender, but at what point do women stop being catty? Especially in the work environment. I much rather work with males. I do not like to "beat around the bush" or "have to let you down lightly". It takes up too much energy and honestly, it wears me out.
Here's a mock situation to illustrate this example:
Let's say you have a male and a female tasked with the exact same job to clean the windows. You go and inspect the windows and they are not very clean. I can tell a guy "hey, this doesn't look too clean" and he'd say "alright", fix it, and move on. I can give him a pat on the back when he fixes it and no harm done. The woman, on the other hand, I have to pretty much hint that the job was crap. Then conclusions gets jumped to and all the sudden I hear "did you hear what so and so said about my window?!" or "she must be sleeping with so and so since she liked his window more" or god knows what else. Women are so dramatic. And help us all if they are traveling in a pack. (It just hit me why I hated high school so much).
I know I have caught myself doing the exact same thing that I have complained about. It makes me shutter knowing I have. I seriously think cattiness is part of our gender structure or embedded in our DNA. This is probably why many women do not get along well with other women (like myself). This makes me wonder. Is cattiness something natured or nurtured we have adopted into our behavior? Hmmm. This would be a great psychology topic to write a paper on.
