So I thought it would be a good idea after posting my very first reply to make my very own post.
The norm is for people in introductions to speak about one's self however I disagree with this concept. I believe we can't fully explain who we really are and I thought I would share my thoughts, feelings and opinions on the subject.
I believe we have three different personalities, personas, minds and such that makes us who we are. The first being what people see, or more to the point what we let them see. This personality is the most malleable, some subtle and some not so subtle changes depending on who we are speaking with and in what context.
The second personality is how we see ourselves and how we would like others to see us.
We keep this hidden to a certain degree, some very close people see this and this personality is the most like our true selves but only those closest to us get to see who we are.
These two are very similar but are governed what sort of media we use to communicate.
Face-to-face everyone has a certain 'shell' they use, an inate defensive system.
In my experience of various mediums of communication I would say we drop this guard somewhat and are more "us" when we aren't in person.
I believe that the very core of who we are is hidden from even ourselves. That very essence that binds our spirit and body into one and enables us to travel in this journey that is life.
This, I believe is the third personality, in root, the true corporeal self. Maybe this is where we go back to when the journey ends?
I guess I went a little deep with this on my first post but at least it's more interesting than "Hi....my name is, i'm from, i like, bit of info, etc".
I would very much enjoy any of your own opinions on this thought train, what views and feelings do you have?
So. I'll leave you with that and let's see where it leads!
Thanks for reading!
