A watch from my husband

On last Weekend, I found my Rolex watch had no power. The hour hand died at 9:00. Yesterday morning, I spent 18 yuan buying a battery for my watch from a watch shop when I was free. Now it works again. I have kept this watch for about seven years. At the beginning, I didn’t like this watch at all because it looked not fashionable. Once I thought my friend’s Tudor replica was even better than this Rolex watch. After seven years accompanying with my watch, I have gotten a special feeling towards it.

In this well-developed information society, it is very convenient to check time because time is expressed and showed in a variety of ways and styles. You will see time on mobile phones, televisions, and computers and almost any other digital products. However, for me, a watch is always my favorite timepiece. I like the way to see what the time is as soon as I raise my hand. I like this way to be able to check time at any time and any place. I have already had a long history of watch wearing experiences. I had once several watches. I have been having good feelings towards watches. The watch I wear now is a Rolex, having been kept for more than seven years. It is still brand new, no scratch on its dial. Only watchband has faded into silver from golden with time. But I still like it very much.

There are always too many stories to tell in my lives. You may have the same feeling. When we grow old, we begin to collect the memories of past. What it was our childhood like. What we did when we were still rebellious youth. Maybe something will delight us from time to time. Speaking of this watch, there is a story about it. A common story but I think it is worth remembering. It is not a Rolex replica but it has no a good look. Modern people will never get interested in it.

This Rolex watch was distributed by my husband’s company when he had his first job in 1998. At first, my husband was given a man style watch. One of my husband female coworker wanted a man style watch too. My husband exchanged his watch with that female coworker. So he got a woman style watch. You know, a lady watch does not match with a man. My husband mother has never developed the habit of wearing a watch. So the watch was left unused. My husband had two girlfriends before he met me. I do not know why he did not present this watch to his ex-girlfriends. This lady watch had been sleeping in a drawer till my husband met me. And then I became the real master of this watch. I would like to exchange it with Tag Heuer replicas if it is not from my boyfriend.

It was in 2000 when my husband gave me this Rolex watch. We just knew each other at that time. I was very annoyed when he gave me the watch. If you follow me, you will understand why I was not happy at that time. I had a watch but it did not work well. It kept bad time. I could bear this and about a week before I was introduced to my husband (and he was still my boyfriend), I bought a new one which cost me 300 yuan, almost a month salary of mine at that time. The new watch was just put on for a week because I had to wear the Rolex. I had to do that because it was a gift from my boyfriend. In fact, it is an old Rolex style, not pretty at all, especially the gilt. The 300 yuan new watch was locked in my drawer. Fortunately, his niece in high school dropped on us this New Year. I gave the new watch to his niece as a present. The watch now can do its good job. A Patek Philippe replica can not compete with it even though it is a cheaper one.

I like this watch more and more. It works pretty well. It is of simplicity, of quality and waterproof. It also keeps perfect time. A battery can be used for one or two years on this watch. Apart from sleeping and bathing, I put on this watch all the time. It becomes my personal thing. If one day I forget to wear it, I would not feel at ease with perplexity.

I believe this watch will accompany me all my life. It is a present from my boyfriend and my husband. I take it as important as my engagement ring.
