Over the last year or two, I can't tell you how many times I have looked at a digital clock at exactly 11:19.... am or pm, makes no difference.  I notice this repetition because it is my birthday... November 19.  I also once lived in an apartment building whose street address was 1119.  Not one to write such things off as coincidence, I really began wondering what the significance of this number could be for me... other than that I get to eat cake.

So, I decided to consult my cards.  The question that I originally composed in my mind was, "What is the significance of the number 1119 in my life?" but I remembered that the way you word the question can make all the difference, and I didn't necessarily want to limit myself to this lifetime, so before I drew the card, I rephrased the question... "What is the significance of the number 1119 for me?"  Keep it general.  The card I drew?  "Remembering."

Hmmmm.   I wondered if my hunch about it having something to do with a past life could be right, and now, I was getting excited, because I'm going to have a chance to find out soon.  You see, my friend Lolita, and I, are planning a trip to the Canary Islands this year to visit a man she knows who is a highly intuitive psychic who does dream interpretation and past life regressions.  She's done a lot of work with him in the past, and in one of her sessions, she became convinced that she and I had a past life together in Thailand.  So, we want to find out more about that.

And here's the amazing thing about that.  Immediately before I asked the cards about the number 1119, I had asked them this question:  "What will Lolita and I accomplish when we go to the Canaries to meet  El Sabio?"  The answer?  "Remembering."

Now mind you, I had completely shuffled the cards between the two questions.  I mean thoroughly.  But this isn't the first time something like this has happened with these cards.  When they have a message for me, they just won't shut up about it until I finally accept what they have to say and shut up myself.

So, that of course, leads me to believe that the number 1119 is somehow related to the past life that I had with Lolita.   But what?  Could it be a year?  What happened in the year 1119?  I got on the computer and checked both AD and BC.   Well, a lot of interesting things happened in 1119 AD, but the one that really caught my eye was that it was the year that the Knights Templar were founded.  Of course, everyone who does a past life regression wants to end up having been someone famous, so I didn't put a whole lot of stock in that.  I figured I'd just find out when Lolita and I got to the Canaries.

That was a while back.  Then, today, I was clicking on  a link that someone put in a comment on one of my posts, and that link led to another and another... you know how it goes.  Up came an article about the Knights Templar, and it turns out that, on Friday, October 13, in the year 1307, the leadership of the Knights Templar were arrested by King Phillip IV of France, tortured until they confessed to heresy, and eventually burned at the stake.

Why is that significant?  I'm glad you asked.  I grew up in a house whose street address was 1307.  My older sister was born on Friday the 13th, and her daughter and my father were both born on the 7th.  And, my last flatmate used the digits 1307, in combinations that varied from time to time, as the password for her computer.

So, I'm thinking, the Knights Templar are going to turn out to be important for me in some way.  What do you think?  (I already know what mobil is going to say... har har).

I have always been interested in numbers (not in the mathematical way! lol... I am too scattered for that) Kruu, their significance, their symbolism... I love this post...

Mary, the youngest of my beloved daughter, who literally changed my life was born 11th of November 2007, a week later Piet  (who likewise played major role in changing course of my life) celebrates his birthday, 18th ofNov. .  K - my unofficial ex-hubby & I met 17th of November 1993...

...I was thinking there must be a great significance to these coincidences?!

Fascinating post, Kru. :-)  I believe in these sorts of things.  I hope you'll keep us posted on what you discover.

I always seem to look at the clock at 11:11 both morning and night.  I wonder if it is more than coincidence?

My nephew and niece were born on the same day exactly three years apart within 4 minutes of each other.

kruu- The number that has shown itself more than any other to me is 13. And I also had a long series of years where something always bad happened on my birthday.

I'll be waiting to hear what happens in the Canary Islands.

I wonder if the Canary Islands have canaries?

well, i know that the 1307 knight's templar incident is where friday the 13th got it's negative connotation, and it's thought that the reason the pope was after them was because he owed them allot of money that he didn't want to have to pay back. does any of that help you?

Paper:  I don't know.  Just all being born in the same month probably doesn't mean that much except that they're all scorpios, so you can check an astrology book to see how well they're supposed to get along.

CW:  I have to admit I don't know much about numerology, but it seems pretty fascinating.  I once knew a guy in Ireland who was something of an idiot savant with numbers.  Long story, but he related everything in his life to numbers, and he noticed "his" numbers in the blink of an eye... things like.. "I should have known that I'd be looking for  a house on 39th Street on the 39th day before the end of my 39th year."  I mean, who thinks like that?

Slick:  I sure will.  Hopefully it'll be in the next couple of months.

beyond:  Yes!  The Canary Islands are filled with canaries, but they are not the yellow ones that we see in cages.  They are brown and kind of plain looking, but they make beautiful music!

trav:  That's one of the theories regarding how Friday the 13th got to be considered bad luck.  There are many others.  It was actually King Phillip of France who owed a lot of money to England, and so he convinced the Pope that they should be arrested.  It's all there in Wikipedia.  :)  Thanks for popping in.  Nice to see you.

    kru,
I don't much about it either.  I do notice the coincidences regarding numbers sometimes though.

Do you do some sort of past life regression under hypnosis to find out about your past lives?

CW:  Well, the regression I did in Spain last year, which I blogged about here, was done that way.   For the series of regressions that I'll be doing in Italy next month, they said that they would be done using an oracle and selfic instrumentation, and I had to send a photo of myself that showed my face and eyes clearly.  They're going to start working on it on March 15th (and the course doesn't start until April 5), and said that I may start having dreams relevant to the past life that I need to learn about.  I don't know yet if hypnosis will be a part of it or not.  And with the guy in the Canary Islands, I imagine that hypnosis will be a part of it, but he will also use his psychic abilities to guide the process, and from what I've heard, he'll probably already know everything before I even get there anyway.

Paper:  Oh well, don't take my word for it.  ;-)

fraggles:  Yeah, these things can be pretty interesting.  When I was on a camping trip in the southwest with that Irish guy (the idiot savant with numbers), we were driving down highway 666 looking for a place to set up our tent for the night.  We pulled into a campground and realized that the camp store was closed and we were really jonesing for a bottle of wine, so we got back in my car and headed back up the road where we had seen a little roadside store.. mind you, we were in the middle of nowhere.  When we were about halfway there, too far to walk in either direction, my tire went flat.  The Irish guy looked at the clock and said, "Wow, and it happened at six minutes past 6 o'clock on the sixth day of the sixth month on Highway 666."  He was right.  And I had a big old nail in my tire!  While we were standing around looking at it, two young guys came by and changed the tire for us.

It's not the coloring books that interest me, although they are fun, it's the cartoons that they play during fun time that I like.  :^)
I used to be interested in hypnosis and biofeedback and years ago I took classes.  We did a regression in one class and darn it, I ran out of time when it was my turn so I never really had a chance to give it a fair shot.  However, since we had split up into teams of two and I was first to do the regression, when it came my turn to have it done to me the minutes ran out.
The lady that I took back was not any royalty or anything of the sort in her previous life and actually I got kinda nervous and ended it sooner than I should have as I saw her getting agitated even in the " relaxed " trance that she was under.  The only thing that she was able to tell me afterward was that she was in a house in the upstairs room (?)....that she was elderly at the time and she was tied down or being tied down against her will...thus the agitation...and then I brought her back by waking her up.
I have not had any contact or experience with hypnosis or regressions since way back when...about 25 or 30 years ago so it's been awhile for me.  I used to have a small library of books about things like that but have long lost or misplaced them.
It's a very interesting subject for sure with more than enough room for discussions on many topics from different procedures to actual experiences.
I wish you luck in your journey of exploration Kruu....I thoroughly enjoy reading about your endeavors.

RollingC:  Coloring books?  Cartoon?  What are you talking about?  Anyway, it sounds like your co-regresser had a real experience.  I'm looking forward to this next session.  Life just keeps giving more and more interesting.
