While it is great that we live in the love of Jesus, it is also imperative to know that in love there is also chastisement.
In ezekiel 7 vs 9 God says "....I will repay you according to your ways....".
God repays for both good and bad. Is your house in order?
A problem that arises often amongst Christians is that we sometimes see only the love of Jesus and the covering protection that we enjoy through the cross and through the blood of Jesus. Because of this precious grace that we have in Jesus we overlook the disorder in our houses and then expect God and Jesus to overlook it as well.
My God is a jealous God and He allows us no other Idols in our lives. What are the other idols in your lives? Get rid of them for they are an abomination to Him. Remove from your house all that is not pleasing to him, both material and spiritual items. Maybe there are things that you hold onto that are sentimental to you, but displeasing to Him. Please understand that there is one place that God is not understanding and not flexible, and that is when you hold and treasure other idols. Get rid of them!
What comes first in your life? Is Jesus your first priority in all you do and say and treasure. Are your eyes on Him or are they on someone or something else? Place Him first in your whole life that your life may be in order and that your repayment may be great.
In times of trouble, seek Him first.
In times of success, Give glory to Him first.
In times of rejoicing, praise Him first.
In all things He is first.
