So we have a solution to that pesky detainee problem, just set them free.  Binyam Mohamed has been returned to Britain where he has been set free.  This cockroach trained in an Al Qaeda training camp and was in the planning stages of attacks against the United States.  http://www.longwarjournal.org/archives/2009/02/binyam_mohamed_the_f.php

Of course if an American captures someone who is the enemy and detains them then the same mantra is played over and over, "I wasn't doing anything and those evil Americans swooped in and captured and tortured me."  One can practically see the halo over his head as he is saying it.  Of course facts don't matter, evidence doesn't matter, reality, logic, and just plain common sense seem to not matter either.  Do we need more corpses before some scummy lawyers get arrested for treason?

All of this is appalling but what is more appalling is the media and the Democrats playing politics and risking more terrorism.  Where was the headlines Binyam Mohamed was set free?  Why didn't the Democrats applaud this?  Technically if this guy is innocent we did the right thing right?  When this scumbag goes and blows up a school (Beslan) or fly a plane into a skyscraper (9/11) or tries to blow up a navel ship (Cole) will the mainstream media report it?  I wouldn't count on it.

I just can't imagine this.  We are in a position now where crazy human rights groups and scummy attorneys who spread propaganda dominate the headlines over the actual reasons the above mentioned detainee was arrested.  Sooner or later this is going to come back to bite us.
