Wow, I miss a whole day (plus a little) and it feels like ages. I'll put this post up, as I had drafted it Tuesday at some point with intentions of posting later in the day, just never got there. I have another post on my home PC explaining why, as well as all the awesome things that have happened between now and then. Sooo, you'll just have to wait for all that good stuff, tee hee hee.
Drafting this one, just going to add here and there as things come up. Right now I've got an ass load of work. Its like I'm being punished for saying that yesterday at work was boring. I'm not complaining, at least there's plenty for me to do. I guess I know what I'll be working on for the rest of the week, among other things that will pop up here and there! Yes, I got the stereotypical gargantuan stacks of paper dropped on my desk this morning ... 4 of them. I've worked through 2. These are two are not gonna be so easy, they're going to be much more time consuming and I doubt I'll get done with either of them today, as one is a huge ass stack of written job descriptions that I have to type out into the correct format. Oh, AND I have to make an office baby shower invitation for one of the ladies working here that's pregnant. I also have to make time to pipe in to my boss' office to make sure she got the documents I've sent to her after completion, give her documents I've printed and check her other voicemail/email.
At least there's coffee dammit, I made sure to get at least one cup today! At least on the plus side, I'll be plenty busy. I think the shower invitation is pretty cute and has come out pretty well. I'm so glad I only have 25 minutes left, I'm now to the point of freezing! Well, one of my hands are seriously freezing. ANYWAY, I'm gonna stick this back in draft for a while until I get home maybe.
Ah, so now I've been home for a couple of hours, have done the boring usual things. Nothing special has occurred, just getting ready to take my husband to the dentist. He's OH SO excited, lol. Not looking forward to giving Little Kitty some medicine, as she's heavily sneezing today. Thinkin' when we get the taxes back I'm gonna take her back to the vet and see what's up. They said to bring her back in a month later if she was still doing it. That would be March 9th. So, depending on when we get taxes back it'll be the right amount of time.
Speaking of animals, something occurred to me today. This is for pet owners. Don't just show your pet love, care and concern only when they're sick, you have to do it when they're healthy too. I hate seeing when people flip out over a cherished pet when they're ill, and when they're healthy they either treat them like crap, don't give them attention, or they complain about them all the time. Don't have animals if they're that much of a fucking burden. Don't whine about how sad you're gonna be and how much its upsetting you when they're sick if you don't care any other amount of time, that says a lot about how you really feel. None of my animals beg for attention, they get it on a regular basis so they've usually got the attitude of 'Get the hell away from me for a while!' I hate seeing when pets have to beg for attention, when you can tell they don't get much so they come to you with pleading eyes, asking for a pat or a scratch.
Something else in the animal world ... fish are not boring if you watch them closely enough. I have 4 guppies, Sam, Max, George and Ginger. I noticed something about them today, they play. Not just swimming around, I don't mean that. They play with the filter. Its submersible, is suction cupped onto the back of the tank and on the front of it, about an inch below the top of the filter, is a tube that blows the water back out after its been sucked in. It's about a half an inch below the water level and it blows the water clear across to the other side of the tank, not hard, but just a good strong flow. I was watching them earlier and apparently Ginger likes to swim up next to the tube and then dart right in front of it, which pushes her to the other side. Then she goes back and does it again! The boys all get on that other side of the tank and swim INTO the current, lol. Maybe its how they exercise. Funny either way.
