Since the stimulus bill was passed, several GOP governors are considering turning down some money from the stimulus package. Though there has been no outright rejection for the money available for education, infrastructure and health care, the governors of Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alaska, South Carolina and Idaho have their own considerations about the effect of this stimulus package on the economy.
These governors are of view that if they accept the unemployment money from the stimulus package, the state government would be forced to pay to those people who do not meet state’s requirements to receive the benefits.
Now really, aren’t the governors worrying needlessly?
