deep sea fishing

I would like to get strapped into a boat chair and haul in a fish as big as me.

It wouldn't really matter what kind of fish as long as it broke some kind of world record.  :-)

Seriously though, I think this would be tremendously fun.  I would do it for my brother.  Fishing was one of the passions of his short life.  I would mount it and have it dedicated to him. I know that would cause some laughter in heaven.

My parents would flip is I caught such a fish.  My dad is always trying to outwit the big catfish in the Missouri River.  Mom is the sly one.  She out does him every time.  They would be going deep sea fishing just to compete with my prize.  There would be lots of fun.

I can imagine how wonderful the sea breeze would feel on a deep sea fishing trip.  My boat would have just enough shade to keep me from burning to a crisp.  I would have guides there for baiting my hook and hauling the sucker in.  I would just hold on tight and real it in.  It might take hours and hours for me to get it into the boat, but I would  That would be followed by one big happy dance.

Deep sea fishing anyone?

Not for me, though I would enjoy just going out on the boat ..... with a patch on of course!

Not everything is for everyone.  I'm not even sure how I would do out in the middle of the sea as far as seasickness goes, but I sure would like to try.  :-)

I have often wanted to do this too CW. I love to go marlin fishing.  (I also wouldn't mind looking like this woman either while out there too) hehe.

    quietone,
I thought the same thing about that woman in the photo!  I could have given her an exclusive dreaming out loud post.  :-)  I think fishing for Marlins would be a lot of fun too.

Lol, well I don't know about deep sea fishing, but I do like to fish in my local area.  Cracks me up because the last three times I've gone, with three different groups I out fished them all.  It was hilarious.  I wish I still had the pictures of the honkin' catfish I caught!  That time I out fished my SIL's "thing" ... he felt like an ass and I rubbed it in major!  Then I remember how mad my friend got when I did the same thing to him, only it was a huge bass.  He had gotted mad and moved places, so I shuffled down the line to where he was.  I was cast out for all of five minutes and caught this huge fish.  It was even better because his dad and my dad (who have been friends forever ... his dad is like a second dad to me) are HUGE into fishing, and so he grew into it (I didn't get into it as big as he did) .... so they gave him such hell.  Thanks for the cues to remember such good times!

Oh where do I start deep sea fishing is great as is whale watching....I live in Rockahampton Australia which is on the southern end of the great barrier reef. I have been lucky enough to be taken Deep Sea Fishing 4 or 5 times. I have also followed the whales as they migrate up and down the coast I have even seen Migaloo (a white whale that has made the migration 2 or 3 times now I think). I have even had the honour of surfing with dolphins beside me. (I nearly thought they were sharks they came out of nowhere). All I can say to all of you is do it...when you hear a whale song for real (I thought they used special equipment to record so that we could hear on telly) and see the size of these creatures as they break the surface and slide under again. Even my daughter who was 3 at the time was silent. I never did much fishing on the fishing trips but would not have missed going out there for anything. And just to top it off go scuba diving I had a spearfisherman take me diving once what can I say FANFUCKINGTASTIC. How lucky am I.

CW.........i am not a diver at all....my ears bother me if i go too deep....but i dont really care for it...

I love snorkling......you know......just floating mid-water and pushing myself with my fins....a mask on my face and a tube for air...

Lazily going rock by rock.... stopping here and there, collecting sea orchins, tubulars, watching the little crabs prancing around trying to go back to the surface....once in a while diving down and let me go back up....

I always try to catch some fish...silly me....:-)

I spent many days in this mesmerizing activity....feeling the warm of the sun through the water.....

    ..sigh...

When will i be able to do it again?
