today was one of the most memorable day of my life.
i went to a bakery exhibit.
it's the 5th international exhibition on bakery, confectionery and foodservice equipment and supplies.
i went there alone.
i didnt mind being alone everybody is busy. but i wish someone was there with me to share the excitement i felt.
going to the place was a drag. it was held at the next city and i have to ride a bus for more than 2 hours.
when i arrive my stomach ache and i feel like shit. i was like, all this trouble for this?
so i registered and i enter the place...
holy... shit...
the exhibit was wonderful!!!
it was pure heaven for bakers and pastry chefs.
all kinds of pastries and bread was there.
all kinds of equipments and ingredients!
like everything about baking was there!!!
all the tiring shit that i felt was gone. i was smiling!
and the free food!!! ohmygod all the samples were delicious!!!
too bad i didnt have enough money. i want to buy some stuff.
and the cakes!!! holy shit the cakes!!!
and i saw some celebrities there. i saw amy perez. she's like a tv host here in the philippines. and her show is the one i always watch. it's about business and products. a very educatinal show for a budding enterprenuer. i saw her in the bathroom while and i just look at her and said. " hi, i love your show". she was nice and said thank you. and then i ran outside like a stupid shit... hoy crap!!! i was so embarass i forgot to ask for a picture with her!!!
and then i saw a couple of culinary schools i'm interested in. again... the problem is money... culinary schools are expensive!!!!
and i saw some filipino celebrity chefs! they were having a demo on how to make desserts.
it was a fun day for me.
you know for some time now i'm having doubts about pursuing this kind of career. i mean i can't cook much more bake? and nobody here is really supporting me about my decision. remember my parents want me to be an engineer?
but today when i went there i felt so...
at home...
like i should be doing this...
and i will. i know it may take me long but i will...
here are some pics...
here's one of the bakery featured there. i took the pics because their exhibit was so cool! the walls were made of bread! anyway, ''tinapayan" means bakery.
some cakes and pastries...
one of the celebrity chefs that was doing the demo...
the people who watched the demo. mind you this is only half of the audience...
the following cakes were made for the cake decorating contest. this is so cool!!! there's a lot of them but i'm only featuring some cakes...
some cupcakes...
this is the celebrity i was talking about. i think theyre filiming on this shot...
and this is the coolest part of the exhibit...
a chandelier...
made of cake!!!
the chandelier up close...
i wanna take more pics of the exhibits but i forgot about doing that because i was mesmerize. seriously i felt so at home and happy at that moment.
i have found my calling... ;-)
and you know what? i know the road ahead of me would be hard but i know i can do this... ;-)
I CAN DO THIS!!!
keep on blogging!!!
