The  PLO said on Sunday that the death toll of the Palestinians, due to the 23-day Israeli offensive on Gaza, has risen to 1440 including 431 children, 114 women and 16 medics.

In a statement published today, PLO indicated that more than 5380 Palestinians were wounded including 1872 children and 800 women during the Israeli war on Gaza three weeks ago.

According to the statement, the Israeli army destroyed about 14.000 homes, 68 governmental buildings, 31 NGOs', 53 associations belong to UN and around 60 health institutions.

The Israeli army also launched several air strikes against 15 hospitals in Gaza, destroying more than 29 ambulances, the PLO reported.

It added that the Israeli offensive also led to the destruction of 50% of the water Network as well as 55% of the power Network in the Gaza Strip.

The Head of the Negotiation Department in PLO, Sa'eb Erekat appealed the international community to increase the quantity of humanitarian aid for more than 1.5 million populations live in Gaza, according to the statement.
