Mary just woke up from a short nap. It is the first time that she climbed out of bed by herself and walk from the bedroom to the living room without tears in her eyes but a smile on her lips.
She warms my heart so. Yesterday, as I was writing on my laptop she clambered on my lap and started to turn her body from left to right ever so slowly while she swiveled her neck in the same direction leaning back sligthly sidewards to face me, wearing an impish grin. She did this many times not giggling out loud but her body had such excited anticipation, knowing her actions will bring laughter from me. I love the simple games that she seems to come up with while discovering the many ways she can move her body.
I was about to call out the girls to tell them what Mary´s new trick is, when I realized Mary & I were home alone...
Jill & Kim would have to hear the story tomorrow night when they come back from the south part of Germany with their father.
It is a spontaneous trip - as most of K´s trip to the home he grew up in. He will finally tell Mutti our current situation.... 2 years later... I would rather not dwell on this now. I would rather not dwell on the possibility that he might´ve told me this to momentarily silence me.
I would rather dwell on the images that I have been archiving in my USB stick and the exterior harddrive that Piet gave me for Christmas. So many memories immortalized on pixel. Some are a joy to look at, some are still painful to view. A lot elicit great memories.
Below is an image of Mary, signing "I love you...". An image captured yesterday (well, I took advantage of her sitting on my lap! lol) after 15 attempts!

.... I found the image below in photobucket in search of a picture I would like to use for the blog I am trying to finish before Piet comes home from work (before he does, he´ll drop by and meet with Guitar Hero aka of his son :) .... Piet´s son is such a sweetheart, he rang from Holland today a bit panicky, not being able to reach Piet... he will see a concert today in Amsterdam... I want to write it down here to remind myself how he always makes me smile on the phone or whenever we see each other...he sent a very ecstatic SMS in reply to mine - telling him that his dad was on his way ...lol) .....
....both images above and below expresses my sentiment to my partner, who stood by me - not only in good times, but in very trying times - since we have been together, all SC friends, who have been very supportive through the years, and random new SC bloggers, who just happens to randomly stumble on blogs I have posted since the start of the year.

Have a nice weekend!
