So we all know whats happening with the recession. American bankers spread bad debt through the financial system, then when people can't make repayments it hits financial institutions than the banks that initially gave out the debt.

Wealth, greed, capitalism and banks caused this shit.

Now redundancy is rife, and its the poor that take the kicking here - you seriously think the CEO of the Co-Operative group has lost his job? Or the managers? Nah, its the bottom of the pecking order.

People are like fucking cockroaches sometimes.

My parents have hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of debt. Its spiralling out of control. Apparently I'll inherit the debt. Its not like they've been supportive to me over the years. If I don't want to inherit their debt I'll need to legally disown them by applying for a parental devorce.

God I hate this world sometimes.

Seer, yeah, it's quite a lot of bullshit sometimes.  However, I have caught wind, as unfortunately I've seen enough family members pass, that not all debts get inherited.  It may extend to all debts, but I know there are some that once the person is deceased, that bill is dead too and nobody has to pay it.  You might want to check into that.  Take care!

yup...its a bunch of crapola.  I had no idea you could divorce your parents...they dont have life insurance?
  • seer said on Feb 09, 2009....

not that I'm aware of, I do know they have a £360,000 plus mortgage, and they keep putting cars/holidays/golf stuff on the mortgage.

I dont have life insurance either. I did have £5,000 to be paid to my next of kin in the event of my death, ironically my death would cause more than £5,000 damage to company equipment....

Seer, ah, well if it's in a mortgage I guess that's a lil different.  Sorry though, was tryin' to help.

Yeah no worries. At least with my brother and three step-kids the debt SHOULD be well split, but I can for some reason imagine it getting split between my brother and me.

viva la revolution and all that...

economics is a mere shadow of humanity, if it wasn't there already then we would create it. and recessions are a natural part of an economic system reliant on eternal growth despite existing in a world with finite resources.

    sad but true.
