teeth chattering headache :(

shhhh. talk quietly please i have a headache.  it's been coming on since yesterday.  it started last night and i had no adult pain medicine in the house so i took the orange flavored kids liquid tylenol. N-A-S-T-Y.  The dosing instructions only went up to 75 lbs. 1 tsp. for 75 lbs.  i had to do the math and lets just say i took lots of teaspoons..lol.

today the headache has turned ino an all out monster.  i'm sitting in a dim room trying not to move my head too much :(  it feels like my brain is ready to explode.  my neck is really stiff and painful too :(  it's a "teeth chattering" pain.  i want my mommy. i figured that blogging makes me feel better about lots of other pain so i will try it for the headache too.

i have slept most of the day, but now the pain is so intense that i just cannot sleep. i finally went to the store and bought some ibuprofen. i was cursing the bright lights in the store and the loud rumbly truck that revved it's engine right next to me in the parking lot.

i am self medicating this bitch of a headache and hoping it goes away.  i took 2 ibuprofen (would have taken 4 but my tummy is also on strike today), i have a two year old prescription of muscle relaxers from a time that i fell down and hurt my back, i took one of those and am hoping that after 2 years it still works, and lastly i take trazadone for restless legs at bed time and it makes me really sleepy so i took that and doubled the dose to help me sleep.  i'm probably a pharmacists nightmare.

i wish you all well and hope that you don't think i'm being a snot because i haven't been around this weekend, it's just too painful to think right now.  i tried to comment on a few blogs earlier and had to give up and lay back down.

    Hell, I'd have taken more of everything, but we all know I'm a closet druggie. LOL

    Sounds like you have a classic headache my dear.  I'm so so so sorry.  I used to have those once or twice a month.  Not sure why I don't have them any more.  Probably too brain damaged to coordinate a migraine.  And they said those blows to the head would never come in handy ......... some people.

    Frags, yeah, I wouldn't hold it against you at all for takin' what you could to make this shit go away.  I hope by the time you check back in to this post that maybe it's gone away and you're feeling loads better.  I hate getting those types of headaches.  When I worked at Walmart I'd get them all the time.  It would start in my spine between my shoulder blades, spread to the shoulders, up the neck, into the head.  By the end of it I'd be sitting in a corner hiding out and crying just because it was so bad.  I became best friends with Excedrin Extra Strength at that time too.  Too easy to say "Watch your stress levels." (Do doctors really think that's possible?) but I can say, watch your blood pressure.  Stay away from the salty stuff for a bit, keep yourself hydrated definitely.  High blood pressure can bring on legendary headaches.  Again, hope you're feeling better!

     I don't like those headaches I hope you feel better soon. My God can you imagine having one of those ice cream headaches for a day ? Or an hour  :-o

    I hope you feel better soon.  I've had some wicked headaches myself in the past.  They can be debilitating.

    Frags, I hope your headache goes soon, I suffer them myself everynow and then and they aren't nice.  Sleep sleep and relax hon.

    Fraggles, I too suffer from frequent headaches.  If not treated t hey get ugly and mean.  I hope that yours gets better soon if it hasn't already.  May I suggest the one thing that works on mine?  Advil Migraine.  Regular Advil and Tylenol won't touch my pain but that stuff knocks it out within a few minutes.  You can get it over the counter but be careful with it and read the directions.

    I know how ya feel sweetie. I get chronic Migraines .... the pills I get are 350 mg acetaminophen, 65 mg of an opiate and 65 mg of a hypnotic
