What Jesus Said:
My father, I say, said that judgment’s my job:
To judge the bad people who murder and rob.
It isn’t like I won’t have mercy. (That’s me!
I couldn’t forsake all who ate of that tree.)
But I can do nothing, all by myself.
But God who is in me takes me off the shelf.
And uses me to do what he’d do in my stead.
Which brings me to what happens when I raise the dead.
For Father has given me life that’s eternal.
And children he gave me – each one like a kernel
That I won’t let fall, no not one, to the ground.
Life is for those who God’s mercy have found.
So don’t get me wrong. The decision is hard.
It’s not everyone that’s dealt a good card.
All things must be given a great meditation.
I can be the poison, or good medication.
And it isn’t like I can feel good to let die.
But sometimes that’s merciful – for killers that lie.
And haters, and stealers, and rapers and dealers
And those who make fun, boast of what they’d done.
But the judgment is mine for it’s God who mandated.
Those who do good are quite pleasantly fated.
Those who are evil, who practice mandation?
Will most surely, I say, will rise to damnation!
This is the message God told me to tell.
That into Gehenna, the fires of hell
There they will burn. To death, they’ll return
And that is my judgment. For this you must learn.
That straight is the way that leads to life.
There are few who will find it.
Many are called, few chosen! The crop is not rife.
To the evil? A death warrant. I signed it.
Those who don’t listen dishonor the Father.
Speak against this? Don’t even bother.
For I am the judge. And this I proclaim.
My message is dire, distasteful, not tame.
But it is the will of God: I discern!
Those who belie me are destined to burn.
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things
soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. 20 For the Father loveth the Son,
and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than
these, that ye may marvel. 21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth
them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. 22 For the Father judgeth no man,
but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son,
even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father
which hath sent him. 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and
believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation;
but is passed from death unto life. 25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming,
and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall
live. 26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in
himself; 27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son
of man. 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the
graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto
the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just;
because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
