Whilst many companies are going under, it appears that a certain type of business is embracing the credit crunch and welcoming it with open arms.
Pawn brokers, I think are possibly the only business that are doing well in the recession (them and a local cafe of mine, who do not seem to even know what a credit crunch is considering they give away free food and charge you for only one meal!)
It has been revealed that cash-strapped business people are now frequenting the once seedy pawnbrokers to make a quick buck as they sell their gold, watches and even Ferraris to gain a cash loan.
Pawnbrokers are doing so well because they are cheaper, and everyone is wanting second hand goods in a financial crisis.
From £20-£30 to £5,000 loans, pawnbrokers are the new place to be.
