Ok,so this is a medical explanation in pictures of what i am going to be going through this time tomorrow night. But first i need to explain the MRI photo graphs.I do apologise for the lack of quality - i just never tried taking a photo of an MRI before with a mobile phone's camera!

The first one is Edward Scissorhands as i like to call him. That is the bottom of my spinal cord, shredded - and tied up in all of that are the nerves to the back  of my legs and the scar tissue that lies behind the scar ( the photo of which i posted last week) now all of that is tied up together. What they will be doing in March is they are going to open the scar and make sense of that mess and separate them, and then cut the scar tissue,so that it releases the spinal cords.
Now all it will take is for them to cut a nerve instead of scar tissue and i can kiss my legs good bye - so the risks are ther and the risks are real.

The other 2 pics are of what they are going to be fixing tomorrow night. The white circle is my spinal column and the dark object in the middle, but at the edge and not the centre is my spinal cord - the only thing is,is that it is not supposed to be there - it is trapped there,on a ragged edge of a healed fracture - so they are going to rebreak it,free the nerve and then pin it together again and reset it.
The next pic that shows the cord in the centre is near the bottom of the column - but you can see that the cord is split in two halves. With my spinal cord being under permanent tension as a result of the tethered ends being caught,as i was growing up - the spinal cord split in half - it is one of the symptoms of tethered cord.I cannot have that fixed though - that damage is permanent.

So needless to say - i wont be around here for a while - but i will be back - as soon as i am able, that is - but it will be soon.Within 7 to10 days i hope, but hopefully by next weekend if all goes well.As long as i dont try and rugby tackle one of the doctors down a passageway that is.....

So it's good bye and not farewell

...til next time

Just try and keep this place tidy while i am gone .....please
