I'm for abortion. I think sometimes its better for a child to not be born.

But loads of people seem really riled about this.

I'd like to do a survey, who's pro-choice, and who's a Nazi?

I'm definitely pro-choice.  I believe that if you can't afford to raise a child, and if you're not in the right mind to raise a child, then have an abortion!

It's so funny, you need a license for everything in this world - a car, to fish - but you don't need a license to have a child.  There are so many people in this world that are too mentally unstable to have children, and they end up messing up their children's lives due to their instability, and that just brings another majorly fucked up person in this world.

Adoption can be an option, but do you really want to give away your child after having it for 9 months in your body?  That would really mess you up and the child.  And would you want to be found out later on in life, with an unknown man or woman hunting you down because you're their unknown mother?  I don't think so.

Not to knock anyone that's devout Christian, but honestly
  • sexconfessions69 said on Jan 25, 2009....
Not to knock anyone that's devout Christian who doesn't believe in abortion, but honestly having to keep a child, or make the parents forcefully marry is downright wrong IMO.  There are too many teenage mothers that are raising kids, and they're kids themselves!

Yeah man. I got a girl pregnant at 17, she had an abortion.

I was quite a bad boy when I was 16, at 17 I was still getting over drug probems.

God imagine if that baby was born!

I like a lot of pro-lifers really live in a false idealism.

    Especially writercarldobbs. He's a wanker.

There was a film called "Snatched from Heaven" (English title) done by a famous Filipino filmmaker named Ismael Bernal that was the moral struggle between religion connected to false idealism with pro-life, and the brual reality of poverty and the necessity of abortion in a third-world society...I have never been able to see the film because they have not released it yet on DVD, but I have seen clips of it on Youtube and read reviews and summaries of the film, and from what I've heard, it makes me want to watch it more.  The social commentary surrounding the film seems so true to life, and from what I had read about the film was that the ending made abortion be the necessary but brutal answer to unwanted pregnancy.  It didn't glorify abortion, but it was a messy solution.

It's a good thing that the girl you had gotten pregnant decided to not keep the baby, that saved both of your lives for the better.

Thanks, its good to say that and be branded a murderer.

    I'll look it up.
  • sexconfessions69 said on Jan 25, 2009....
Well, that is a matter of perspective.  I don't believe it's murder if you abort the fetus early, anything after 3 or 4 months is definitely murder, it looks like a baby after that...

Let the pro-lifers say whatever they want, you and the girl you were with made the best decision for yourselves, and that's only on you, and only two both.  If the pro-lifers want to keep unwanted babies that their own kind have made on accident, that's their business, but they shouldn't harp their own opinions on others who don't believe in pro-life, IMHO.

People should just stop judging people, anyway, they should judge themselves before they judge others...
  • seer said on Jan 25, 2009....
    Yeah true.

I am struggling where to draw the line, where does a tissue mass become a baby, and is it ethical to kill something like that?
  • sexconfessions69 said on Jan 25, 2009....
It's a difficult decision, but ethical decisions always have some sort of gray area, nothing is completely black and white in this world.
  • seer said on Jan 25, 2009....

I wish the man had some more power about stuff like this.

When my ex was pregnant, I had no power, she could make the decision by herself and I had no legal power to influence her choice.

  • sexconfessions69 said on Jan 25, 2009....
So you regret that she aborted the fetus?  That you had no influence over it?

I don't know the circumstances of what happened between you two, but she should've at least told you what she was thinking of doing, but as I said, I can't judge what happened...what is done is done, right?
  • seer said on Jan 25, 2009....
lol thanks, no I wanted her to get the abortion, but she was considering not having one, and getting a council flat and 40% of my income.

The thing that hurt the most is that I had no power over the situation.

I regret nothing in my past.

  • sexconfessions69 said on Jan 25, 2009....
    Wow, good thing you didn't...
  • sexconfessions69 said on Jan 25, 2009....
No, I never have been in that situation...

But if I was faced with an unwanted pregnancy, I would quickly bring myself to a Planned Parenthood and get rid of it right away...it would be the best thing for me to do, rather than wreck the rest of my life with a child that I didn't want...
  • seer said on Jan 25, 2009....
yeah. Still was a hard time though.

I used to work in outdoor recreation, I did lots of work abroad with disadvantaged children, it was amazing.

I retired at 21, a year ago, due to premature middle aged ness really, there's only so far you can push a body!
  • TurquoisLotus said on Jan 25, 2009....
I am pro choice, although I would never have one myself. But that's just me, I want to be a mother so bad and I just turned 18. It's just in my nature, and I think it is up to the woman to decide what happens to her own body, and what happens to her own seed. Honestly though, people push their opinions on this subject way too often. Let it be, your body is your own temple go ahead and do whatever the hell you want with it.

(However I do lose respect for stupid promiscuos girls who know of pretection, refuse to use it, have tons of sex, and then have an abortion. be more fucking responsible for crying out loud)

TurquoisLotus:  Oh my, is there anything worse than promiscuous girls?  Let me think........  AHHH!!!  yes, promiscuous boys!!

I wonder if boys needed abortions to avoid unwanted pregnancy it would be completely legal - no problems at all.

How much sex is tons of sex?  Once a day?  10 times a day?  100 times.... or indeed 1000 times ever single day.

Boy.... you wouldn't need an abortion - the damn thing would just fall out!!!!
  • TurquoisLotus said on Jan 26, 2009....

    Promiscuos boys can go suck a dick if they are always knocking chicks up. I seem to have forgotten about the fault of the penis ^_^;;

There was a joke I heard on a gay Filipino comedy once.  A gay couple was planning on having a baby, and the mother was so shocked about it, she asked where the baby was going to come out, and the maid answered:

"Of course, through the nose!"  (And she held one nostril closed like she was going to target shoot w/ a piece of snot)...LOL

I suppose vaginas are kinda gross when you look at them close up.

But still, penises and rectums arn't exactly lovely either.

I think vaginas smell nicer :)
  • PieterOpie said on Jan 27, 2009....
My god man.... your obsesssed.  You are repeating yourself.

And must we resort to this close-up comparrison of all the relevent pink bits?  It's all rather unnecessary for the sake of the debate.  Rubbing each other's face in each others intimates is going too far!!!

You leave me no choice but to ask you to get dressed and leave at once!!!!!

I am watching one of your morning news shows down here in Sydney, a delay broadcast I assume, and they are talking about the octuplets that have just been born.... the second set in the world ever, and I keep on wondering how that related to the topic in question....

    EIGHT BABIES AT ONCE FOLKS!!!!!

Mum says "kill me, kill me now...."  LOL
  • SpiritualMom said on Feb 09, 2009....
Okay I guess I'm a bit different here :) I am pro-choice to a degree, I think that if a woman becomes pregnant when she is very young (Like in your situation Seer), she gets pregnant from rape or abuse, when  she already has kids and knows that she will not be able to support another or when there is a medical reason ,then abortion is okay... I don't believe that anyone should be able to get one for just any reason though.. If you get pregnant and you dont want the baby then find one of the thousands of couples in this world who really does want a baby.. I did read all of this post and yeah, after 17 or 18 years you may have a grown child come looking for you but then again there is a such things as open adoption where the birth parent gets to still see the child that they adopted.. Also, what would you rather have on your concience for the next 20 years?? That you killed a baby that did nothing wrong or that you gave a baby up for adoption so that it could  have a better life than you could provide for it??
I dont think that just anyone should be able to abort any fetus they want to... If you didnt want to have a baby, you should have ensured that it was prevented... If it was a freak thing (two of mine were) and your sure you can't take care of it then try to find someone who can.. There are thousands of couples in this world who would love more than anything to have a child of their own, you could have the chance to make their dream come true, and you wouldnt have to live with feeling like a murderer for the rest of your life, there are alot of women out there today who had abortions when they were younger and yet now they feel so ashamed and regretful... I wouldnt want to live with that...
In some cases it is the best and the only way for a woman to cope but in most ways there is another answer...
Oh yeah, a fetus has a heart beat by the time they are about 4 weeks old, wouldnt you say that makes them human?? They also already have all of their limbs and organs by the time that they are 2 months into gestation.. To me that makes them human already... Again I think that there are times when abortion is the only choice, but with things out there like "the morning after pill" and all of the contraceptives, there is really no excuse for an ADULT to have an unwanted pregnancy....
Sorry but this is a big issue to me lol I have 5 children of my own and as I said the last two were major suprises as I had cancer with the 1 suprise and I was taking birth control with the second.. I chose to have and raise them because I felt that I was meant to have them.. I'm not saying its easy, being a parent is the hardest thing you will ever do, but I can say that it is MORE than worth the sacrifice.
  • seer said on Feb 10, 2009....

Am I the only one in favour of aborting the little bastards up to and including 18 year old teenagers?    I don't mind changing the term to infanticide or teenicide.

PieterOpie- LMAO.... Yeah they make you fell like choking the crap out of them part of the time but in the long run its worth it!

    Right?

Oh God, I hope it is! :P

  • PieterOpie said on Feb 11, 2009....
How the hell would I know?  I've never had kids.   That's why it is so easy giving advice.

I can't imagine it being worth it.  You slave away raising them.  You love and adore them.  They are a chore but you clean and feed them and you educate them, then they start playing with themselves and each other and the whole thing explodes in your face. Then you spend a few years yelling at each other until they leave in a huff and you are all worn out and the're gone and they hate you.  You get old and need them to clean and feed you but then they are busy yelling at their brats.

It's natures little trick... it makes you think you must do this...  nature just want your DNA to pass on.  It doesn't care if you are happy or not.

There are too many people in the world already......

    ABORT ABORT ABORT!!!!!
  • SpiritualMom said on Feb 11, 2009....
Wow a bit cynical don't ya think??  Yeah they are alot of work and yeah they are VERY ungrateful of most of the work you do, but there is so much more to parenting than that.. They give you so much joy, watching them grow and experiencing new things... I love being a parent, its one of the most rewarding things in my life... My kids are exactly the way they are supposed to me... their kids!  Your parents did all those things for you, don't you think you give meaning to all that work in your adult life? Mine will, no matter what they do it will be a direct result of my parenting... If they all grow into happy, productive adults I'll be happy and I'll know I taught them well...
  • PieterOpie said on Feb 11, 2009....
PLEASE Madam, calm down....  obviously the kids are getting to you.  You're hysterical.  I would not choose to do what you do in a thousand years (perhaps longer) but I am full of admiration for parents who devote and sacrifice themselves for their kiddies.
I can't bare children myself.  A cruel twist of nature rendered me unable to have them.  I am barren.... without child.  A dead end.  No one to give my name to.  I will never have grandchildren.  No mother's day - no father's day.... nothing.

I can't even be in the same room with children.  They highlight the absence of offspring in my empty lonely life.....  on a narrow path with no one to share the experiences..............  at the end I will die all alone...... no one at my funeral.....

That's why I want everyone to abort their children.... MHUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

ABORT ABORT ABORT!!!!!  ABORT ABORT ABORT!!!!!  ABORT ABORT ABORT!!!!!
