I just finished reading another article about Bernie Madoff.  My experience with you immediately came to mind.  The following quote really hit home:

Dr. J. Reid Meloy, a forensic psychologist and author of a 1988 textbook, The Psychopathic Mind, says individuals with psychopathic personalities tend to strongly believe that they’re special.

“Typically, people with psychopathic personalities don’t fear getting caught,” explains Dr. Meloy,  “They tend to be very narcissistic with a strong sense of entitlement.”

“They believe ‘I’m above the law,’ and they believe they cannot be caught,” Mr. Meloy says. “But the Achilles’ heel of the psychopath is his sense of impunity. That is, eventually, what will bring him down.”

As the old saying goes:  "Where's there smoke; there is fire."  You can try all you want to smear me but I am not the only person who've done business with you who has spoken out about your actions.  Even in the case of Bernie Madoff, many people like Harry Markopolos, raised questions about his business.  In the end, Bernie's actions came to light.  And so will yours.
