After three nights of barely-sleeping, I finally caught some winks today. Just two hours worth of a nap but its made a world of difference I tell you!!
So I was looking at my TV after I woke up.. I say 'looking' not watching because I was just looking at it lost in thought. And I remembered this thing I'd read a long time back that said that all of us have a set number of words we speak per day.. like out word-quota so to say.. and after that we shut up.
I was reminded of this tidbit because I was pondering at how much and how fast I speak!! Today when I met my college friens after a month, most of them said that they were happy to see me, their brains were kind of in shock because they had lost the habit of enduring sooooo much talk!!
So anyway that got me wondering what my daily word-quota would be.. because I seem to be drawing from an inexhaustible source!! lol..
And that got me thinking that there should be a way to measure the numbers of word we speak per day.. like the pedometer except it would be a word-o-meter.
The study I had read also said that women's word-quota was bigger than men's.. duh!! Thats like the studies that say things like.. 'Women pick the best mate possible'.. duh!! Doesnt everyone? I mean does that mean men do not prefer the best mate? Scientists are so dumb!
So anyway ALL this got me thinking.. that what if we have exhausted our daily quota of words and still have more to say?? What happens then?? And it was like a bulb lighting up in my brain.. THATS why we blog!!
Yep.. thats it.. its sceintific and everything! We blog because we've run out of words and still have more to say. We're so chatty that talking for real just doesnt cut it for us! Its like a sickness of communicating.. except its good!!
