So it seems that silver spooned political neophyte Caroline Kennedy no longer wants Hillary Clinton's empty Senate seat.

We didn't need some 5th Avenue big name with no experience representing us. We need someone who has the necessary job qualifications. Someone who has actually held down a full time job. Someone who doesn't rely on her Daddy's fake myth of greatness to take top positions in this world.

There were rumors that Kennedy dropped out because Patterson was going to dump her anyway. If that's true, then kudos to Patterson for not grabbing the re-election support certainly dangled in front of him.

There are also rumors that some personally embarrassing details may have come out about Caroline Kennedy, especially regarding her taxes and employment of a nanny. If those are true, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. Democrats love to pretend they care about the poor and insist that "the rich" pay their "fair share" - unless it personally affects them. Just look at Obama's choice for Treasury. Gaithner AND HIS ACCOUNTANT somehow "forgot" to pay self-employment taxes four years in a row! And the Democrats are going easy on him! Fair share? Integrity? Yeah, right.

It's business as usual in Washington DC, but at least in New York State - for now - there's a tiny chance that we will gain a representative we can all proudly send to represent us.
