So i was taking a walk to the corner shop earlier and i noticed as i walked out the gate to the company premises, that there was a young black girl that was walking on the same side of the road - probably about 20 or 21 - she was dressed in designer clothes - but i think she was more interested in showing off what was under the clothes, than the clothes themselves,as she had the top she wore, unzipped about half way, showing off her underwear.
This being the norm in this country,on a sort of hot day,i ignored it as i always do - but that wasnt it.She was being accompanied by another black male - who was talking to her in their own ethnic language, that i dont understand - but he was clearly slurring and was swaying as if he was drunk. The girl was ignoring him - so i waited for them to go past me and then i followed. All the way up to the corner where they stopped to cross the road - it was at this point that the guy tried to put his hand inside her top and she fought him off.I quickly moved in between the both of them, and pushed the guy on the ground, which wasnt so hard as he could hardly stand up.
She carried on across the road, but didnt bother to zip the top up or anything - is this just inviting more trouble - or am i missing something?
The thing that got to me the most was that there is a resturant on that corner with a security guy outside - who preceded to do nothing - but stand and watch.

Is this what this world is coming too ?

You are such a great guy to have gotten between them like that!! Its sad that people harass women like that but its even sadder that other people just stand and watch. Maybe its so normal over there to wear half-way unzipped clothes that she doesnt realise she's inviting trouble? And he was drunk at 9:30 in the morning? Man! Thats one early rising drunkard!!

cj! you did WHAT?! awesome that you helped her out but yeah, i think that girl is probably inviting more trouble :(  it seems like the world you live in is alot different than mine!

CJ, it's really sad.  The girl isn't gonna do anything to stop men from wanting to do those sorts of things to her, and a good majority of people no longer feel inclined to help people.  Perhaps that's why the security guard did nothing ... because she had her top unzipped and looked as if she was inviting it.  Perhaps he was just a lazy doughnut eater.  At least YOU were there though and how valiant of you!  I am curious, did she even thank you or did she just keep on moving?

No one deserves an unwanted touch, but you have to wonder about walking around 1/2 undressed.  The guy clearly needed to go find a place to sleep it off and the young lady should have thanked you for saving her from her own stupidity.  As for the security guy, he's paid to keep the trouble OUT of the restaurant.  It would have been nice had he stepped in, but you can't make people do the right thing.
