  Well I just all together feel like I don't have a basis to go off of at all, I've not been here long enough, in my opinion.  However, I'll say from the reader standpoint ... my time is limited and sometimes I don't get around to posts for a while, and then when I do it's so past due that I just don't even bother commenting unless I can see there's somewhat current conversation occurring.  *sniffs*  No smelly smells here ...

  I say if a post is new to YOU, then you can comment even if it's two years old. Why not? It's all part of the record. The posts under All Time Featured get comments every couple of months even after they've been up for longer than it takes to gestate a baby.

  Hello....  I'm new.  Still not enough?  I'm doing my best but frankly I don't have that much to offer other than the occasion manic rave when my medication starts to wear off. 
  
  I think all forums and the like are destined to atrophy eventually unless it has a specific goal such as discussing how to neuter a fruit bat at the height of the breeding season by using a standard pair of kitchen scissors with the dexterity of a brain surgeon.   Those sites are brimming over with enthusiastic nerds.
  
  However in a forum such as this where people are left to there own devices, in my case nothing worthwhile or productive,  then eventually after the population of its membership has peeked and people drop away due to boredom or apathy then only a hard-core group is left and they spend far too uch time discussing the plight of a board which has peeked and is now at a level appropriate for its format.
  
  Shit.... that was a mouthful.... hey?

  Look... there is no point moaning about better times.  They are GONE.... It's like the economy.   It's OVER.   Be glad there are any remaining bloggers willing to share their lives in what is after all a very odd environment... and one that exists only in cyberspace at that. 
  
  Who knows, maybe all those early energetic participants have been evicted and pawned their computers.  Perhaps they have sold the kiddies - or eaten them and they are now making their way to a neighbouring country to get away whatever it is that is killing them off - one by one...... (hehehe)
  
  Eventually all the old-timers will get sick to death of newbies like me coming in and taking over with our second rate posts and general bullshit.  "Ah, it's just not like the good old days" they'll snarl and log out for the last time.
  
  In time it will dwindle down to a few demented old members and a few (like me) on drugs and out of control.  The out come will be when the site owners no longer make any money or I.... eh, I mean someone drives all the others crazy AND I WILL BE THE LAST ONE STANDING!!!  YES!!!  HAHA HAHAHA!!!!   HAHA HAAARRRR DEE HARRR HAHAHA HAAAAHHHHA HAHARRR!!!!!
