One thing you can do to avoid being scammed by fellow players is to be aware that scams do happen. Some people that you may trust in game dont know you in real life and to them, scamming you out of some items doesnt mean anything. There are several scams that i know of that people use to take advantage of those less aware.

One is a trade scam, they put the item up in trade to let you see it, you put your money up, they take down the trade and say oh sorry or whatever, put it back up and it might look like the one you saw but you put your money in, hit agree and Voila! You get a strength kara instead of the agi kara he showed you in trade the first time and the trade is done. Sad but that happens.

Another scam i have had the experience of being on the receiving end of is they ask you to see your stuff in trade, you show them and they say hey can i try that on for a second? Sure, you party with them, play with them, they're in your guild so why not but then they take your stuff and log!! Personally, after getting burned on that one, I never let anyone try on my stuff or "borrow for a sec".

One of the worst scams i've heard of is "i can get you points for cro". You want the points sure so you agree to their terms and give out your account info so they can put points on your account. Then after a while you log on and find all your cro and stuff is gone and no points either. Never ever give out your account info to anyone - not even people you know in real life.

Those are a few of the scams i've run across, of course there are several and if you've run across any - please post them so we can all be aware. Its hard not to trust the people you meet and play with but always keep in mind that you dont know these people in real life and be aware that you could get scammed.
