Some (like D6fer and I) wonder what has happened to this place. It
has become very boring.

For one thing, I see no way for the SoulCast owner(s) to make any
money on this site anymore. I finally got back into my AdSense
account and I have had no activity since May of last year, I think it
was (not that I had made that much anyway). I suppose AdSense
pulled the plug because people like me were exposing OhBummer
and Democrats. However, I doubt that AdSense was any motivation
for posters, but it probably was for the owner of the site.

I think the holidays took a toll as well. People like me get out of the
habit of coming here each day and kind of lose interest because it
is hard to know what is going on. Even when I did post every day, I
sometimes had no clue what some people were talking about.

Personally, I am more interested in politics and the state of the world
than I am about some of the mundane things people talk about here
and elsewhere. And I am sure the reverse is true (they could care less
about the state of the world or what I have to say about it).

I may start writing more sex and/or violence posts. Stir the pot if you
will. And of course, I will keep blogging against the great sins of our
time--abortion, homosexual marriage, illegal immigration, etc.

Plus, once the next big 9/11-type event happens -- the terrorists have
to test OhBummer -- we will have plenty to talk about again. The other
day, I read an email that was going around. It was talking about some
security hotshot from Israel (his name escapes me) and what he thinks
is going to happen. He warned the U.S. about 9/11 before it happened,
evidently, but no one listened. He has some scary theories. Let me just
say, stay away from malls, etc. Actually, do not go out of the house
for the next few months, until it happens.

He said they ran some tests, like leaving suitcases unattended in busy
places (bus stations, malls, sports arenas) and no one even paid any
attention to the unattended luggage. He says that in Israel, when
anyone sees an unattended suitcase, everyone backs off and screams
"unattended suitcase (briefcase, box, package)". Although, I think I
remember seeing a deal like that on the news not long ago. Someone
noticed an unattended briefcase in the mall common area and called
the law. About the time they got there, the owner of the briefcase
came back to claim it. He had just walked off and forgotten about it.

Of course, nothing like that can happen here. Right? I mean, we let
middle-eastern types come into this country every day and go to
school. The Israeli security guy says terrorists will/are recruiting
young people right here in our own country to do their dirty work.

So what are we supposed to do about it? You tell me and we wll both
know. He did suggest that we should make sure our children's school
has a plan in case you do not show up some day, after your office
building gets blown to smitherines. Some kids had to wait at school
for days after the 9/11 attack.

Yep, we will soon have lots to talk about, I am afraid. Thanks to all
of you wackos that elected our new president. I doubt that anyone
would have wanted to test John McCain, but we will never know.

I hope having a minutely black president is worth it to those of you
who voted for him. I have a theory that future historians will mark
2008 (maybe 2009) as the beginning of the end for the United States
of America. I just hope I am wrong.

It is easier for people to put their heads in the sand than to face reality I guess.....to be fair, I think that the Republicans have done their fair share to destroy this country in the past 6 years...and I say 6 years because they had their chance with a major majority 6 years ago and they blew it....but political correctness and liberalism have wrecked the country's moral standards......now I know that people like bloc are going to chime in about torture and wire taps and all of that smoke and mirror bullshit, but you and I know the truth don't we?

I guess  I am one of those that continually writes of the mundane.  Politics and other issues do interest me, but I don't like debating them unless I'm in a particular mood for it.

It will be interesting to see what Obama does.  I have high hopes for him.

Just a question to both of you. It seems to me that putting one's head in the sand corresponds to unshakable beliefs that one side is always right, consequently you are always right. Isn't it the independent thinker the one who's head is not in the sand? Isn't the independent thinker the one who listens to all sides and pulls the best from each and acts and votes accordingly?

I guess my head is in the sand for thinking that way because both liberals and conservatives alike will surely tell me how unabashedly wrong I am in every case due to their total understanding and rigidity of pure one-sided thought.

beyond.....did you read my comment? I lay blame on both sides.....and like CW, I have high hopes for Obama.....I didn't vote for him, but he is my President too and what is good for America is good for me.......I think most conservatives feel the same way.....unlike liberals we don't care much for the Chemo-therapy style of politics.

I agree that the Republicans blew it to a certain degree. Just like the Democrats,
Republicans are sliding to the left. As someone said, the Republicans are now
defending opinions and values that were owned by the Democrats 15 or 20 years
ago. JFK was actually quite conservative (as were all Democrats) in his day. This
country, probably starting in the 60s, is sliding down the slope to socialism and
maybe even communism. I am not sure there is a "party" that reflects my opinion
about things. The Republican party needs to listen to people like Rush Limbaugh,
Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Hugh Hewitt, etc. John McCain is not a conservative,
and not really a Republican. That is why everyone was so easily turned off by
him. If he had embodied true conservative principles, most would have been
able to overlook the fact that he is old and that he picked the wrong person for
vice president (maybe). The Republican party needs to come up with someone
that is not a Democrat in disguise or some kind of religionous wacko (real or
    perceived).

And, topics other than politics or world events are only mundane to me. If you
enjoy those topics, good for you. I really do not care for lady mud wrestlers,
but some do. (Different strokes for different folks.) I was mainly talking about
those posts you see out at the end of the line, in other languages, etc. I
occasionally open up one of those and think ... WTF is going on here?
