If you comment on someones post,they acknowledge everyones comment EXCEPT yours, should you be offended,or give them the benefit of the doubt, reasoning, I was just accidentally overlooked? What would / have you done? IF you chose to PM them about it (who does that?) What would you say? which of these would you choose?

diablo - Hmmm.....as someone said of me recently, I don't miss much, I notice a lot more than I mention! This kind of thing doesn't bother me but I do notice it!
Phoeby - yup we all make mistakes and forget stuff! If I realise that I have overlooked someone's comment,I always PM them and apologize. I am not saying that should be done but thats me.
Fallie - happens to me all the time,I must be really easy to forget.....LOL!! but yeah its easy enough to do,specially if there are a lot of comments.

I wouldnt take it personal. sometimesthey are lost in soulcast time. If i read my comments and then go and reply and click submit. Sometimes in that exact moment im commenting someone else comments and i didnt read it because it only shows up after i hit submit. I might not see it until someone else comments again and its back up to the front of conversations. Its could be days or not ever.
So just as a disclaimer for my blog, if i ever miss someone PLEASE TELL ME it was not done intentionally!

Well, it's happened to me in the past, and I suppose it depends on the context of the post as well as what I said (comment, suggestion, question, etc.). If I think it was something the post-er should have read, I might jokingly say 'Hey, how come I didn't get a reply? *pouts in corner* Just kidding ... sort of.' Also it depends on how well I "know" the reader. For instance Rupert, if you didn't respond to this, I wouldn't blame you because well, we've only just met a couple of posts ago. If I posted on somebody's blog that I talk to relatively often enough, I'd be wondering if I offended them somehow and I'd be more worried about it. He he, now the test will be to see if you respond or not. All for fun either way. Have a great day! -

I've bought it to the posters attention ~ In a humerous way, and I would hope that if I miss someone they would tell me.

Cry of course..... then attempt suicide (but only for attention) and carry on like some crazed attention-starved lunatic and after that make some sort of fuss before embarking on a quest to become more noticeable through a noisy campaign of cheap stunts, raves and rants, dirty tricks, attention getting routines (with me in scant clothing) and probably setting off a small but smelly explosion somewhere on the index page of the site.
Failing that, cry some more and die of neglect and give up; concluding it must be a mistake or an oversight on the part of the person who obviously meant to anwser my post - but didn't.
But to be honest.... sometimes it's the only way to get rid of me.

It only really happens to me when I comment on blogs that discuss American politics. I have nothing intelligent to contribute so my comments are rarely addressed. I accept it and attribute it to the fact that I didn't say anything supportive to the argument or anything provocative.
On other posts I am rarely overlooked. Sometimes people comment later and apologize for skipping me. Other times I just assume that what I wrote didn't inspire a response.
I would never PM a person for not replying to my comment, however, if I wrote something that I felt was very worthwhile replying to and I received no reply I might PM someone and politely request an opinion about my comment.
