Being cold in winter is kind of our specialty up here. The north of Quebec after all shares a border with freaking Labrador and I don't even want to think about how cold it gets in Labrador.
We're being descended upon by a cold front for the rest of the week. Arctic air is not as much fun in real life as it is in a gum flavor! Montreal is south of me and they usually get slightly milder weather.
They're saying that tomorrow, they will see temperatures there of -33
C. And apparently the mercury in Montreal hasn't gone past -30 since
1994!
Now for us, our maximum temperature - that means the HIGH for the day - for Friday and Saturday is projected at -25 C. Wheee. I don't really want to think about what fun North Quebec (if you look on a map - that vast expanse next to Ontario where almost nobody lives) must be having.
Currently, they're saying winds of 45kph (if you don't do metric, search "45kph in mph" on google) with gusts up to 60.
And guess who, in her great wisdom, decided that today would be a great time for a grocery run? And I don't have any long johns! Guess I'll be wearing my pj pants under my jeans!
