Lets face it, I get a lot of stuff for free (or really really cheap). As in, every day in the mail or at the store. I put a little bit of time into doing stuff every day, and in return save tons of money and get a lot of free stuff.
I have especially come to love the month of my birthday; it is even better than all the other months of the year. And I emphasize the word "month". A lot of places will give you something free for your birthday. And a lot are not good just on the day of your birthday anymore; they are good for 2-4 weeks surrounding your birthday. It makes for a pretty fun time and a great way to save money.
One of the most comprehensive "birthday" lists I have found is:
There a bazillion lists out there if you google birthday clubs (or something to that equivalent...trust me, you will find a ton). It can take a little while to fill them out (and be rather tedious), but having just celebrated a birthday, I can tell you that for the most part, I ate completely free in the few weeks surrounding my birthday. And if I did have to buy anything (like a BOGO deal), I drug Duane with me. It was fun and a great way to save some money around the holidays.
My suggestion is to turn on some music and rock out while you fill out all the forms. It's only a little bit of your time. Then when your birthday rolls around, you will see all of the rewards start rolling in : )
Enjoy! : )
P.S. I have found these for pets as well. Yes, in case you are wondering, my little dog is signed up to receive quite a bit of free stuff on her birthday. And for this she is very excited : )
