These are from a Ford car lot near my parents' place and one is from a strip mall. I loved the snow but I didn't have to shovel it.

cool car

Who's going to drive this baby away tomorrow?

Burried car

I think I like this one. The colour and design really appeal.

Snowed on, driven on and snowed on again

looks soooo pretty, but I'm glad to be here where it's warm.

Those were such neat, beautiful pictures! That's the kind of snow that at first is fun to play in, then you realize that you're stuck no matter where you go!  Lovely pictures Hot, thank you for sharing!

You sure you don't live in my neighborhood?  We're buried in snow here, too.  :D

Maybe I'll go out and take some pictures later.  Your photos always inspire me to free my inner shutterbug.

Thanks for the pics there buddy.  I'm particularly fond of the back end of the car peeking out through the blanket of snow.  :)

I don't think those are real pictures. They look like something made in AutoCad or 3ds Max 9 on a x64 bit pc. I mean these are some cool models, but the lighting, reflections and shadows look almost unrealistic.

Great photographs as ever Hotaka. Thank you for sharing.

UI, I love the cold when it's outdoors. But my house is around 5 degrees these days when the heaters are off. It's like winter camping at home.

Hegemone, fortunately I was getting around on foot so I wasn't bothered as much as the people who went shopping on boxing day and had to wait two hours or more for a bus.

quietone, the third one is the kind of stuff I like to shoot. I like to see large scale landscapes in medium or close range scenes.

fraggles, aw, come on. Don't you want to make snow angles?

Grapemate, being the talented artist you are with your sketches and words I am sure you could put a camera to good use. If you take some and post them, please let me know in a PM. Otherwise I might miss it.

Anon, I am not sure what those things are you mentioned because I mainly shoot film and in ambient light only. I can understand your incredulity because these photos were captured at night under the lights of the car lot, which were bright enough for me to shoot handheld with my little compact digital. Though you expressed doubt about the authenticity of the photos I appreciate your comment. You needn't be anonymous. I didn't take offense. When people question the colour or apperance of my photos I am happy to explain.

    Alyss, thank you for looking.

Lucy, I took a few of that spot but I liked the patterns best in this one. And hey, don't dis anon. I think he/she was right to question the lighting and technique. If a photo looks unbelievable the photographer should be able to explain.

ginger, are suggesting that we switch from chocolate pudding to marshmallow?

CW, I will be in and out as time permits. Thank you for stopping by and having a look. I'll see what you are up to when I get a chance.

woman, the baby photos are coming. I might get them up later tonight. Thanks!

Something about number 3, love it!

Anon ~ Some people know how to take a good photograph, just because you haven't seen a good one thats real for a while doesn't mean these aren't. :-P

Your shots get better all the time Hotaka.  I love the aerodynamics of the new models that they're selling nowadays.  Now if they could only come in different colors.......

    :^)

These are great photos! You have a wonderful eye. (Now could we have some baby photos?)
  • hotaka said on Jan 13, 2009....
RollingC,  yeah the order is weird. When I posted my long comment I couldn't even edit it. It just posted immediately.

I agree with the colours but I figure as this was the winter line they were going for white is the new black kind of image.
