  Yes, i know what you  mean........my cat Allie suffered few days only too, luckily...one day she was fine....two days later she passed away....

  I know how sad this makes you {{{hug}}}  My cat (Ruby) is 12 years old and I see her aging, she has become a bit boney and has that demon Arthur ritis too. I love her like a child and dread the day she goes....

  Oh what a beauty he was!  He is the image of my dear departed Harry (aka 'Tubkins' and 'pusscat' hence my profile name :)  I held him in my arms as he left me but I was so glad that I was there for him.  He it no more than he deserved for all the love and laughter he gave me - and boy - did he give me some laughter :)
  
  It may have only been 6 years with Perfect but what a wonderful 6 years i bet they were.  They become a part of us don't they, our little furry babies?  They leave a huge gap when they go but they also leave behind the most wonderful array of memories.  My heart goes out to you on your loss.  I am glad he is at peace now.
