I don't know what happened to ebay, but it's taking a turn for the worst. Their fees are higher than the interest rate on my mortgage. Cripes, when you factor in their listing fees+final value fees+time spent maintaining a listing and answering questions from people it ends up being more of a hassle these days. Plus everyone wants something for nothing(yeah yeah, myself included) but don't want to pay for shipping(even when it's just exact shipping). Oops, I forgot to throw in the Paypal fees. Can't forget those, after all, it doesn't even seem that you can add that you will accept anything BUT Paypal. Plus there's a new zero tolerance policy regarding leaving a buyer negative feedback. Well if the buyer deserves it but ebay won't allow it, doesn't that make their feedback score inaccurate? Consequently, there really isn't a level playing field so all the scammers(both buyers and sellers scam, seems to be a 50/50 split in my opinion) now appear to be shiny, happy people because of all the plastic surgery on the feedback.
Come on, ebay, how much stuff can you compress onto your homepage? It's a roadmap with so many icons, pictures, links, announcements and blinking advertisements that I feel like I might have a friggin seizure from the over-stimulation. Ebay reminds me of a casino these days. I liked it much better when they were a REAL auction site. C'est la vie, I suppose.
