Looking at the front page of todays paper, there is an article on there that i found quite amusing to say the least Some proffessor in the UK has said that he thinks StoneHenge was a prehistoric rave club. He is also a part time dance DJ as well , so me thinks his brain is a bit too full of vinyl. I mean, can you imagine Asterix and Getafix popping in for a quick break dance while high on ecstacy? Me dont think so

I have heard that it was a ceremonial site, which may have included dancing as part of rituals, so it's not so far fetched and idea as you might think!

The restaurant revolved at a steady rate of one revolution per year.  That was considered breakneck speed in those days.  You had to book centuries ahead....

Hi Frag - yes this prof actually thinks this place was a rave joint,he apparently went to the US to where there is a life size replica that was built and played some of his tunes on his turn table and was amazed at the ' resonance and the acoustics'
A small reminder.this was FRONT page news in this country today. What does that tell you about this country.doo dee doo doo.....

They originally built it for bingo and quilting - then the men got bored and started bringing wine....

Dear Cuppajava,  I was born in the Netherlands and I live in Sydney, Australia which used to be New Holland.  I am secretly trying to steal the country back from those English tyrants and return it to the Dutch.  But I digress.....

The restaurant would have sold "fish and *chips" and that is about all.  The English don't like anything too exotic unless it is alcoholic and expensive. BTW - what is "choon"?  Is that afrikaans?

*French fries.... or Normandy Nubs as they were known 10,000 years ago.

I have it on good word Stonehenge was the Worlds first drive in open air whore house.

For a tad extra you could go up on a top slab and poke her while viewing the the countryside. This too would explain those ass prints up on those top slabs.

Oh Mobil.... what a wild crazy imagination.  You know as well as I do that is way beyond the pail.  Really.... how gullible do you think we are?  Honestly......

No.  It was almost certainly a revolving restaurant.  It is so obvious and reasonable. I think you may have whores on the brain.... huh?  Yes?  You want some fish and chips and a woman?   I know a nice place..........
  • beyondtheveil said on Jan 08, 2009....
mobil- I wondered what those prints were.

Hi Beyond - are you serious.....?
Hi Pieter - i was thinking that you may have some dutch in you somewhere ! and yes it was an afrikaans word that i was referring to. So,hoe gaan dit met jou?
Hi Mobil - your suggestion or theory actually cracks me up.I havent laughed like that since Fraggles shart post ! I think you might be right, you know, but how did they pay,in pebbles or rocks.I am pretty sure that they had a live band at intermission too - Fred Flintone and Barny Rubble sing the blues?
  • beyondtheveil said on Jan 08, 2009....
cj- Uh, no. I'm rarely serious when mobil's around.
  • cuppajava said on Jan 08, 2009....
