The last two days have been clean up, FIRST clean up after the house fire. The trash pickup is this AM and there is a load on the street.  Things look neat and clean.  The smokey smell is gone and one wold never know that this weekend there was a fire. The dogs got rewarded today with steak dinner as they did there jobs well. I have replace the rug and steam clean the rug, floors and walls.  started to shop for a new used car and it is hard to find anything I like.  My car a subaru has a bad head gasket and high mileages,  Paid the taxes on the house so money is tight and I have not had car payment in over 20 years.  I have always paid cash for my car and had great cars but I drive them into the ground.  I hate car shopping, cars are a waste of money but I live in the country and we have no buses!  I did find a shop that would do the job right at a fair price $1400.  The car is very good shape as I replace and repair thing as need and do most of the work myself but this is a little too much for me to handle.  My last car a ford Probe look like it came off the show room and I gave it to my sons with 295,000 miles on it they sold it for $3,000.

so for the next three weeks my girlfriend and I will share her car, till I can save up for the repair.  The down payment for a new used car is about the same as the repair and who know what problems I would have with another car.   I loved it when I lived in the city no need for a car but here every thing is ten miles apart or more. If it was spring I would ride my bike to work and did  last year. I have a few photo shoots in the next few weeks so that will help and over all thing are looking good.
