This post was recently writting on another blog but, since I haven't writting anything over here for a while I decided to put it here to get me to start back posting regularly.

There are many food that I don't like.Mostly because they have a bad taste or smell. But,there's one food in particular that I don't enjoy at all. That's ham. Most other foods I could try but,I wouldn't enjoy it.For as long as I can remember the smell of ham has always been unpleasant. When I smell a strong scent of ham.I get nauseated.

I've never known why this is.There's certain other foods that I don't really like the smell of like neck bones but,I can eat neck bones.I'm also trying to eat more vegetables which I don't like the taste of as well. Most people seem to like ham and all that I think of it is how can you eat that stuff.

One time when I was younger I remember my Mother telling me to eat my ham because I never ate it.So I waited while I ate the other food and saved some water and tried it.There's this line that I heard on friends before where Phoebe says 'this is what evil must taste like.'I think that can be applied to my thoughts when I took a bit of the ham as well

Research suggest that taste is almost 90% smell so when something does not smell good chances are it will not taste good either. It seems odd that the relationship between these two is so significant yet it's true. Personally, I like ham but there are other things I cannot deal with, like cooked cabbage, etc. I think there is a connection to our early experiences that influences us later, like the association you mention with ham being charecterized as "what evil tastes like". The psychological factor cannot be ignored. So...........you can have my cabbage and I'll take your ham :)
