with my head resting back in the seat on the airplane i watched through the clouds as my vacation transformed from being a reality into being a memory.
it's always bittersweet to come back from a vacation. as bummed as i was to put on my winter coat and leave the palm trees behind i found myself feeling content as the plane touched down at home and i was once again on familiar terrain.
my vacation was dream-like and magical. i really did not want to leave the sun, the warmth, or the brand new mattress i was sleeping on in florida, but what i discovered when i arrived home...the lumpy squishy mattress that i used to hate? now seemed cozy and familiar.
i was happy to be home. the first thing i did after walking in the apartment and dropping my bags was run to the bathroom. nothing like going potty in your own bathroom after days of being away. the second thing i did? i fired up the computer and read up on my friends here at soulcast :)

today will be a day of spending time with the kids and dogs, post-vacation laundry, restocking the fridge, and getting ready for going back to school and work tomorrow. i had SUCH a wonderful trip that i will be posting random segments about it as i get time. and also as i get time i look forward to catching up with everyone!
