My beloved is on a plane on her way back home now. It was a blissful week full of wonderful memories. We spent a little time online with Ginger and Grape on webcam. We went to the beach on New Years Eve. And my beloved agreed to go to Walt Disney World's Epcot Center with me on New Years Day and she was surprised to have had a good time there. We spent a lot of time just being together, enjoying each other's company. A lot of time enjoying each other's company... I wish she didn't have to leave. I wish she was still here with me. Gods, how I'm missing her...
But there is one strangely, disturbingly amusing thing that will stand out in both our memories of her visit here this week. I promised her I would post this tonight so she could read it when she gets home in the morning...
As my beloved and I were finishing up breakfast the other morning, I was fiddling with the toy seeing if it could guess what was on my mind. Rather, who was on my mind...
Is it an animal?
Is it larger than a microwave oven?
Is it dangerous?
Does it come in different colors?
Does it have claws?
Is it an herbivore?
Etc, etc...
There was a shocked moment as I sat across from Alyss when it made its guess.
"What did it say?" she asked me, smiling, knowing what I was up to by the way I was reading the questions and answering them aloud.
I couldn't answer, too shocked to read it to her. I showed it to her instead.
"Did that say what I think it said?" she asked in shock.
We both looked again.
"No really, it didn't..."
"Yes, love. It did. It does," I assured her, too dumbstruck to know what else to say.
The little LED screen read "Is it..."

We were both more than a little freaked out about it. It was absolutely correct. We were just shocked that this little toy would guess that. And I did not tamper with it. I wouldn't even know how to try...
Funny thing is, I didn't think to take a picture of it at the time, smacking myself in the forehead after turning it off. But my beloved tried the game herself later on and she got it to guess the same thing. And we got the above photo.
And I tried it a few minutes ago and got the same thing yet again...
Disturbingly, amazingly insightful little device.
