A good day in Iraq on Thursday as the United States handed over control of the Green Zone and Saddam Hussein's palace to Iraqi authorities.  January 1st will be a marked holiday on Iraqi calenders and known as Sovereignty Day.  The Green zone and the palace are important symbols to the Iraqi people and shows that Iraq has now moved to handling its own security

Along with this British forces handed over control of Basra airport to Iraqi officials.  The British are expected to leave Iraq towards the end of July.  Presently in Iraq the murder rate is less than in most cities around the world.

In all this gloom and doom around the world we can be proud of what we have done.  The Iraqi people if all goes well will be able to choose their own destiny.  No longer will they have to live in fear of being tortured or murdered for speaking out.  Most of all the fully independent media will serve to keep people in check.  There will be more chaos in Iraq, but in the long run we have saved a generation.

Ahh but this is a far cry from the Democrat majority leader stating the war is lost.  The war is won and sorry but you guys were completely wrong as this story and many others have proven.

Won???? Then what the fuck are you still doing there?  Having tea with the families whos lives have been utterly destroyed forever? Playing soccer with the kiddies left alive and just getting used to prodding the ball with their stumps?

What the fuck have you won?  For what?  And Why?   Man-o-man....  what a strange little reality you occupy.... something akin to the damn twilite zone.

There has only been one enormous LOSS in Iraq.  Loss of respect.  Loss of credibility.  Loss of morality.  Loss of spirit. and the loss of many young ignorant naive American troops and the loss of about a million innocent Iraqi citizens.  That is a win in your mind?

Well good for you.  I will send the fairies over to give you a sparkling medal.

Iraq should NEVER have happened.  Have you forgotten the details or something?  That was not a winable war.  Everyone lost that debacle.

It is a stain on human history as are all wars fought for no particular reason other than revenge or politics.  What bullshit.  Life has no value anymore.

So what was your solution to Saddam Hussein and his Iraq?

I think you are full of shit by the way.  You know people are people and despite a persons political leanings you don't actually hate the person you hate the leanings.  You do seem like you have a brain in your head but I'm thinking I have written something that offended you and you are trying to piss me off.  This is of course silly, I'm a writer who writes about media bias so I have swam in the Liberal slug that oozes around the net to get the other sides opinions.  So there is nothing you are going to say that will upset me or offend me.

Hussein was responsible for the deaths of millions of people and his son's were just as ruthless and brutal as he.  The post-9/11 world would not have tolerated Iraq regardless of who in America was in power.  What is the next two of three generations of Iraq going to look like versus if we had left Saddam in power?

Uncensored blogging is the law of the jungle, if you get offended you don't belong here.
