hard to believe its jan 1 already. this week has gone by so fast. i took xmas week off to spend time with the kids and then it was off to london for a few days to visit his parents and my grandmother.

christmas day was fun . made the huge dinner as usual. and the kids where here and it was noisy and fun.  we exchanged gifts and had dinner. i think they liked their presents. sometimes its so hard to know what to buy for them now that they are older.  all in all it was a fun day.  i like having everyone over for the holidays.

the drive down was good. not much traffic. and we made good time. and i dont think we forgot anything. we decided to stay in a hotel as his parents place is just too hot and hard to sleep in.  the hotel was nice. 2 beds and very clean. i like the idea of staying in a hotel. get some quiet time and we can do what we want. we spent time with his parents and got to see his brothers too. the nephews loved the blankets i knit for them. i was so glad about that.  next yr i have a few things to make. so will be knitting through out the yr. so far its one pair of socks and one blanket. enough for now i think. managed to get some shopping in at a book store and tea shop. wanted to look some more at some other stores but just ran out of time. saw my grandmother twice and did her nails for her. she loved that. visited with her at the nursing home. i also left her with some spending money. she says none of the other kids offer her any money. guess they figure she has enough.  so i wrote her a cheque for 100.00. somehow it just not seem like enough.  then it was time to pack up and come back home. i go back to work tomorrow.

i didnt bother calling any of my siblings. why waste the time.

and to top it off my youngest decided to move out of town while we where gone. he got back together with his gf and they moved 4 hours from here. no idea when they will be back . he called when we got back to let us know. i was shocked and upset to say the least. not even a good bye. got the phone number of where he is. and hope that he is ok. says he is looking for a job there, but he has not even finished school and cant speak french. no idea what he will be able to do there. anyhow i just hope he is ok .

i am hoping this new yr will be better than the last. i really want my cards to sell more , so i can work at it full time.
