casual closeness
sends me spinning in thoughts
i never knew existed-
how you lean against my chair several moments
more than i anticipate
before speaking.
so close
it makes me wonder
if you can feel my heightened heat
or see my heart pounding
beneath my chest.
as you speak
your breath brushes
my neck and ear lightly
from behind
making me tingle with such intensity
instinctually
i want to moan.
drifting between the lines
i catch myself wishing
the chair would disappear
leaving only
your body pressed against mine.
i spin to meet your eyes
trying to decide if you are aware of this
desire,
or if it would come as a surprise
that i fantasize
about finding you in
some dark abandoned corner
all alone.
and i wonder,
would you deny this hunger, there,
if my silence were assured-
or would you give in
and let me slide inside
to spite mind's hesitation...
