It's just a few minutes past midnight here in Ohio, in the US. I've wiped away the tears that always seem to want to be shed at the start of the new year.
To my family: mrM, and my daughter and son, Happy New Year. I love you more than I have words to say. I don't always like or agree with what you do, but know that as long as I draw breath, I will love you.
To the friends who have come, and gone in my life: You've written on the landscape of my heart. I hope you prosper in the new year. I won't forget you.
To my SoulCast family of friends: This unlikely group of individuals from all over the world has somehow managed to create an everchanging, closeknit community, which in my opinion represents the best, highest purpose of this thing we call the Internet. Like every community, we've lost some members, and they are missed. And we've gained new members who have added their unique voices to the mix. We also have SoulCastmamas-and-daddies-in-waiting, my last count is four. Such happiness. Before I get too mushy, I'll just say, I wish you the happiest of new years.
There are huge problems facing this world we live in, and I pray that 2009 will be a year in which we learn to live together in relative peace, and take care of each other and our Mother Earth.
Happy New Year, to all of us.
