Thanks to Lucy's gift of the nostalgia book, which is displayed prominently on my file cabinet, my coworkers now are on the look out for similar items for me.  My coworker and friend L found these napkins at Sur La Table in San Francisco.  They're wayyyyy too cute to use, so I guess they're destined to sit prominently in my future kitchen. ;)

That is just too funny Uni, lol.  Be good to get a few packs of those so they can be used ... I'd use 'em for when the husband pissed me off, just toss him a napkin and let that be the message, lol.

Ohhh, I love that stuff!  My house in Denver had a really 50's kitchen... yellow metal cabinets, copper tile walls, an original Frigidaire, etc.  So, I decided to go with it instead of against it and plastered metal plaques with old 50's ad like the one up there on my metal cabinets with magnets... put in a bright yellow formica table and matching chrome legged chairs, etc. etc.  God, I miss that kitchen.  I swear, if I had a house, I would do it all over again.  You must be having a blast!

kruu - I'd have loved to have seen that kitchen!  It reminds me of my gramma's.  I think that's where all of this is coming from, and I love it!

you got that damn straight!!  In fact, I may have to give these to the new man in my life who will be the one who is responsible for cooking dinner.

I can't say 'make your own damn dinner'. I AM the one who cooks dinner.

If I said that to my wife, she'd take away my toys.

BTV - I have a lot of respect for her ;)
