Ladies, ladies, ladies, please help me understand this one.
When a lady has clearly gone to the effort of buying a cleavage revealing top, push-up bra and making sure her cleavage is well on display...then why do they act surprised when guys are getting an eye-full(excuse the pun). Surely you want us to stare at your tits, don't you? Otherwise, why all the effort?
I blows my mind.

However, what's worse if someone really deep down is slutty(which isn't always a bad thing), then why should they put on a false persona in public that they are all uptight, when really they are not. Aren't they then just being hypocritical? If so, then why bother showing clevage in the first place?
Is it that whole "look what you can't have" thing? Does it make them feel like they're grabbing hold of some kind of control over men, regardless of the method?

personally, I wear v-necks alot because I believe they are flattering to my figure. I wear push up bras because they make my bustline look attractive.
I don't have any problem with someone having a look at me; an 'eye full' as you put it.
It's just plain rude to stare longer than that.

I don't have a problem with women who dress to show off their assets for the most part, as long as they don't take offense if they get ogled. I'm not confident enough to dress like that but I'm not going to condemn anyone who is.

I think there's nothing wrong in dressing sexy but there is a vast difference between classy-sexy and plain slutty-sexy. And to some extent, there's a slut within us girls. But it doesn't mean we're putting on some false persona.
Women are beautiful and they're ok to look at. Even I enjoy looking at them. Ps: I'm a woman. And of course that when we dress up, either subconsciously or not we want to be noticed. I like dressing up sexy but I don't do it much here in Jakarta. Even my bf likes it when I dress all sexy.
And yes mrhowto, you can look at those cleavages but don't stare too long or we think you're a pervert :)
Oh, but I'm not sure bout camel-toes though. I dun think anyone would do that on purpose. It's probably just a fashion mistake. Cheers!

It's definitely OK to look. No one should wear revealing clothes and then be offended because people are looking.
But you do have to find the right measure. There's a difference between looking and staring. If a stranger stares at me too openly and too long, regardless of whether he's staring at my face, my boobs or my little finger, it freaks me out.

It's good to know that you are sexy...but if females get upset when they wear a shirt the length of an average T-Shirt...then they are just abusing their rights. Cause women have these rights that make it that men are villians in any situation. Any furthermore if I had a great body like a muscluar physique then I would be wearing tank tops and muscle shirts more often being that I'm a guy. But abusing these kinds women is something that is not taken well by me. "If you don't mind me saying, you have a lovely pair of legs." "Excuse me, but can I just say your breasts are really spectacular. I mean, if my eyes could pop open as big as your chest I'd look like a Japanese anime character."
I guess a healthy pair is important for, I dunno, breastfeeding or something. Maybe guys are programmed to seek out impressive motherly hoops and so, like many animals, the female wants to promote her features in order to attract males and show that she is a healthy woman with the ability to feed babies. Maybe girls like a bit of attention, but it is hard not to stare when there has been so much effort put into promoting them. Hey, if you are going to take the time to put them on display then let us take the time to enjoy the art work properly.

If you really think about it, most women dress the way they do (i.e. low cuts, middies, etc) because they want the attention. They might not want the "stare at my tits for an hour" kind but just for the opposite sex to notice them.
It’s all psychological, most women think they have a lot of competition. If you watch TV or just look at ads around you while walking down the street, you see what the generalization of 'sexy' is and women try to keep up with that. Admit it guys, who would you more likely make the effort to talk to (for whatever reason) the girl wearing the tank top or the girl in the long sleeved shirt?
Its not that they don’t want you to look, but they don’t want everyone else to know that they want you to look at them. So when you are staring, admiring a girls rack, don’t make it obvious to the whole world. Just appreciate that we are letting you see nature's gift to man and are not decked out in layers hiding our selves.....
Personally I don’t care if you stare at my cleavage, if I wear something revealing it’s my fault and men staring comes with it so unless a woman doesn’t want that kind of attention, they shouldn’t really wear such clothes.

Just one problem - I don't think I'm toooo bad looking lol(haven't had any complaints or been called elephant-man yet, so lets assume). So picture this...I have a 1 hour train journey. A gorgeous woman with 110% prime-cut clevage just happens to be sitting next to me.
But I'm supposed to just cop a quick glance, acknoledge how superior she is, then stop. But then there's another 55 agonising minutes left to the journey.
Where the hell else am I gonna look? There's a granny one side of her and a huge assed builder on the other. The problem becomes a paradox. I try and look past her through the window, but my eyes just keep getting drawn back to the only interesting feature on the whole carridge. I've read all the station names over 15 times already, and still my eyes keep getting drawn back.
What is a guy to do in such a situation?

Girls dress that way probably because they want the attention - you are right in saying that if it's meant to be looked at, why not? Yet, if you stare, then you are intruding their "provacy". Ironical? Still I guess if it's meant for "show" it's fine. I recalled vaguely what Sy Rogers, a counsellor for people with sexual disorders, who almost went for a sex change himself said during one of his sessions that when guys get turned on, it's the innocent girls who become victims of rape. This, I would consider to be the problem.

I never said that being sexy equals a lack of self respect. there's a difference between being sexy and being slutty. You can look sexy but not slutty and be slutty and look trashy. i guess it all depends how the girl looks at it.
Alot of those "overly sexy looking" girls want to look attractive and want to get attention. But then they complain when guys want to do more than just look and then they scream rape. what do they expect? they're inviting guys to stare and then think they're creeps. Like everyone else said, you dont want that much attention? dress appropriately. I have no problem with girls looking sexy, i just think there's a limit.

I am proud of them, and I like them to be noticed. That being said, I don't flaunt them at work. I choose the appropriate audience to whom I will introduce my girls.

There's a difference between being slutty and confidently beautiful. There's a difference between being slutty and being a sexually aware/alive person.
There's a difference between being an asshole and an appreciative male. There's a difference between being a pig and being a sexual, respectful, playful man.
So basically many women aren't going for slutty... and they don't like guys being pigs. But showing cleavage and checking out cleavage aren't wrong.
Besides, when you put out the attitude like in the post, then you're basically saying "hey... I can tell you're a slut, so I'm gonna look!" and that's not cool... ya gotta be classy and suave and seductive about it. Not drooly and weird.
