Terri Cataldo, you are a liar and a sneak. The dog I sold you was not sold as breeding quality as you originally did not want to breed. Our contract states "IF" she was ever bred, I would get a pick back. Read YOUR e-mail;

Lauren,
Chloe will be approaching her 3rd heat in a few months and I've been thinking about the breeding process. Once we agree upon a stud I dont think that once raising the litter that I'll be able to give up the pick. I am already very attached to her, raising the litter for months will accomplish that same end. What options do I have here?
Terri

It shows YOU wanted to breed her even though you were told not too AND I offered to sign off her papers as soon as she was spayed. You were greedy and wanted to breed anyway but not give me a pick puppy back. You are really something. Even Karen, the Presiddent of the CSPCA agreed with me!

Lauren Alexander - I am neither a liar nor a sneak. OUR contract in the amount of $1200.00 was for a breed quality bitch. When I contacted CSPCA about you & Karen Kleinhaus tried to intercede, you wanted to pay me the difference between a breed quality and pet quality to shut me up and make me go away.

When I filed the complaint with CSPCA and it went before the board...I lost by 1 vote! Someone on the board told me to call them after their term was up and they would gladly give me the names of others who had disagreements with you and could tell me more about your dealings. Wanna guess who that person was?

In the long run after hearing about some of your other dealings...and these were with breeders too I was recommended to either take you to court or accept that I wouldn't get papers. So I don't get papers - no big deal! She's a healthy, happy dog and that's what counts to me.

You have a good reputation with your little cliche of breeders but there are others out there that stay clear of you, I shall do the same.

Lauren - I saved all my emails also...this email is from Karen - CSPCA President to me AFTER she had emailed you.

CSPCAPres to you - Sep 27 2007More Details
I emailed Lauren and asked her a couple of questions. At the end of her response she offered:

"If she does not want to breed the bitch, I want spay papers from her vet and I will reduce the price she paid down to my pet price."

    What do you think?

    Karen

Read what you wrote on 12/28/08 "Terri Cataldo, you are a liar and a sneak. The dog I sold you was not sold as breeding quality as you originally did not want to breed. Our contract states "IF" she was ever bred, I would get a pick back."

Doesn't match with what you told Karen - you know why? Because I "paid" for a breed quality pup. Who appears to be the LIAR now!

Lauren, Yes our picks might be different and Chloe may only have a couple of pups. I still would want all of the litter. What if my kids/grandkids want pups? What's the charge for full papers? Your pick and my pick will most likely be two different pups. You only other option is to pay me for a pick pup and have her spayed. It's right there in black and white... "I STILL WANT ALL THE LITTER" and "I DON"T THINK I WILL BE ABLE TO GIVE UP THE PICK" So basically after bitching about her eyes, you wanted to breed her anyway and KEEP ALL THE PUPS TOO!

    Greedy-Liar.
    Case closed!

I told Terri that when I was breeding, my contracts said that the dog would be spayed/neutered and could be kept by the owner, could be returned, or could be placed in a new home with the breeder's approval. The dog would be replaced with one of like quality and gender. BUT I don't know what Lauren's contract says.

If one of you does not want me in the middle of this, I can certainly bow out. I have found that having a disinterested third party sometimes helps, and I'm here for that, but it really is up to you both if I have any role to play.

I appreciate your help in this matter. I am also sorry you had to be involved. 22 years of breeding and I have never had anyone "pull" something like this. If she does not want to breed the bitch, I want spay papers from her vet and I will reduce the price she paid down to my pet price.

Karen Kleinhaus CSPCA President writes; This is perfectly reasonable. We shall see!

SHE was shocked you wanted to breed a bitch with an eye issue...SHE suggested to "reduce" her to a pet price which IS what you bought her as!
