Throughout the ages, in most books there is one single ingredient that is on every single recipe, even desserts, you guess it salt. Salt is a natural ingredient produced or made by the ocean waters of the world or mines. It is a mineral that the human body craves day after day; it is so vital that in most of the dinner tables of the world it’s always an invited ingredient along its life long companion the pepper shaker. What is it that makes food taste a thousand times better? Can you even imagine what a salad or a nice minestrone soup would taste without it? Probably not, in fact our love for this essential mineral is so big that on top of what is already in the food that we eat we sometimes add a few extra grains of it, to make it taste a little better. Of course humans have found plenty of other uses for it other than cooking and have also realized that too much of everything can never be good. Even though it is a natural ingredient too much salt is not good for your health can cause some bloating.  To counteract this phenomenon, drink plenty of water to balance things out.

Make sure that you season your food properly and not over use this wonderful ingredient, let’s keep our relationship with it healthy.
