It was a gambit of mixed emotions.  My husband was in India.  First time in 26 years that we haven't been together for the Christmas season.  I have been pretty depressed about that and you mix it in with all of the other Christmas activities and it just takes the fun out of it.

I did go to my parents on Christmas eve and we went to a concert given by my Mom's friend's son.  Kyle Dillingham.  It was a very good concert and my mother really enjoyed it. 

I went to a midnight service with my daughter and her family.  That was very spiritual.  I am really glad I went.  It kind of gave me some of my Christmas spirit back.

I got up Christmas day and fixed my mom and dad a Christmas dinner.  Turkey, dressing, baked sweet potaoes, cranberry salad, deviled eggs, gravy and pumpkin pie.  My dad started eating the turkey when it come out of the oven.  Mom slapped his hand and told him he wouldn't eat any lunch.  He did eat lunch and when I called mom on Friday she said that every time she looks up from her crossword puzzles that he is in the turkey.  They really enjoyed the dinner and it made me feel a lot better about my Christmas 10,000 miles away from my husband.

Then I visited my oldest daughter and checked out what the 4 grandkids got from Santa and everybody.  Next I went to my middle daughters to see what the youngest grandson had received from Santa.  I had to call my youngest daughter and get their list.  They live in TX.

So home at last on Christmas day.  I cried a little, OK maybe a lot.  My husband was on the beach of Diu in India.  A little drunk, but was walking in the Arabian Ocean.  I was really glad that he was feeling like Indiana Jones and having a wonderful time.  He promises me that we can go back to Diu on my birthday.
