My name is Evalina. I am currently 27 years old. I've lived in Shanghai for 4.5 years. The world is always changing, and so am I.

I'm tired of trying to be different... just like everybody else. I don't want to put myself up against the norm because it's not a very good indicator of what's standard.

In the tremendous effort to "find myself," I got lost. I am now rediscovering a new me.

The posts to come will talk about my journey, past and present. Why write about it? Not because I need someone to read, but so that I can look back and see where I've come from. I've always taken a rather convoluted path in life, but perhaps by chronicling the steps I take this time, I won't fall prey to the same traps all over again.

Although this record serves primarily as a "document" for me, if you have any pearls of wisdom along the way, I'm very open-minded... ;)
