When it snows the roads that we drive on can become very slippery and making the decision to drive on them can be a very difficult one.  With each and every snow storm can come what is called “cabin fever”, where you end up stuck in the house for days on end.  Being stuck in the house can be quite a relaxing time when you first think about it, but then after you experience for a day or two you realize how much you enjoy getting out and doing the daily things that you do.

So, after a while inside you make a decision on whether or not you want to drive on the snowy roads.  Is it worth it?  It depends on what type of car that you have, or truck, and what your experience is like on the road in snow conditions.  If you have experience and are confident, then it probably is not a bad idea, if you have some doubts, then go ahead and pass on it.  What ends up happening if you are secure and safe with your snow driving is that you end up more concerned about the other people driving on the road then your own driving.  What if they don’t know what they are doing?  Now in order to make it to your destination it can be a game of making sure that the other drivers around you are driving alright and that they are not going to run into you.

Four-wheel drive is a miracle in snow and can make it easy to get around.  You are supposed to use four wheel drive high in the snow and four wheel drive in low for mud, in case you did not know.  And just because you have four-wheel drive does not mean that you have complete control over the vehicle, it is still prone to slip and slide around.
