Steve Mapes hauls junk. Some of the junk he trys to sell in garage sales. At his garage sale I seen a bunch of old WW2 nazi metel emblems, buttons and belt buckles. That sort of thing. They were not for sale.
The man is a bonified self loathing gay nazi. he hates himself so much he is literally torn. Rainbow flag in the window and nazi stars special cases in the garage. It's for everyone to see at his garage sales. These are some how twisted symbols of his.....whatever.
You see Steve is like the nut that shot Dimebag from Pantera. These people intrigue us and sicken us at the same time. They become legends of their time. With all of these mall shootings people are really starting to look at people. This is not some mouthy stumbling drunk of a community. this guy is warning sign squared walking the streets daily. These people don't live in the same world you do. Their reality is all they know when they encounter you. You could be dog meat to people like this if you cross them at the wrong time.

Steve Mapes is imfamous in Lincoln Nebraska for being caught at the 405 rest area off of I-80 for soliciting a male undercover officer for sexual favors. This came as no shock to Lincoln Nebraska residents as it is widely known that Steve's anger stems from "homophobia". Steve is a gay man so full of self loathing that he will constantly bash other men during his frequent volatile temper tantrums. THE RAINBOW FLAG- EVERYBODY that knows Steven Mapes knows that he has/had a Rainbow Flag hanging in the window of his house for years. When a bunch of us got together for a BBQ the rainbow flag came up in the Conversation. Someone said, "I wonder what is up with that Rainbow flag hanging in Steve Mapes's window." One thing everyone agreed on was that it was the Gay rainbow flag. The pastel variety. When Steve was questioned about this flag he claimed it was a "Hippie Flag". Strange thing about that explanation is that Steve Mapes has ranted for years about how much he hates hippies. You see Steve Mapes has never had a girlfriend in the years that he has been tormenting Lincoln Nebraskans. (most his life) He has never had a boyfriend either. Now Steve Mapes's sexual preferences are no business of the general public until he starts advertising. Hanging flags in a window is a good start. When Steve was asked by his group of open minded peers "Are you Gay?", Steve would immediately fly into a rage. Strange that. Most males would giggle and say no or boldly say yes. Steve would fly into a rage and start screaming terroristic threats. When Steve was instructed with "you know Steve it's alright to be gay" without sarcasm , he would then fly into a rage. A more intense rage where he would start beating holes in the walls of his house. After much speculation and study of past circumstances, Steve's peers concluded he was in fact "homophobic". Meaning a gay person that knows they are Gay but are fighting the tendencies with outward anger and rage. "He is Lashing Out", one concerned Lincoln business man claimed. The rainbow flag is/was a symbol of the other side holding weight in his psyche. You don't have to watch but a few episodes of Frasier to conclude what Steve's problem is and what is causing his behavior.
THE 405 rest area Incident- Before telling this story I must remind everyone that this is another rumor about Steve Mapes. Many Lincoln residents will Swear this story is true but stevemapes.com has no way to verify this story. Once again draw your own conclusions. I will tell the story the way it was told to me.
"Years ago the Police were doing undercover sting operations in parks and rest areas busting people with soliciting and lude conduct charges. It is said that Steve Mapes went to the 405 exit at the rest area outside of Lincoln Nebraska and propositioned an undercover cop. The story was Steve told the cop he would perform oral favors for money. Let us not forget it is fact that Steve was a well known crack addict in Lincoln that was out of money. It was then said that since Steve's dad was a well respected local millionaire and businessman with ties to the university, it was all swept under the rug. The next part of the story is fact. When Steve was asked if this was true Steve replied "Yes, but I would take the money and run". The audience is once again left to draw their own conclusions based on prior experience with TMB. In the least it was a clever way to steal money from fearful unsuspecting gay men that frequent these places late at night."

The Case of the U-Stop Fiddler:
One day Steve Mapes decided to stop at the U-Stop gas station located at 27th and Stockwell street in Lincoln, Nebraska. Working as the clerk was a 16 year old girl. Lucky for this young lady an older manager was working that day Steve decided to stop in. After deciding on his purchase Steve then approached the counter ready to check out. While conducting the transaction to the clerk Steve began to make comments of a sexual nature to this young lady. When the girl told him to "please stop" Steve then reached across the counter and began to touch this poor girl. At this time an older lady manager came to the girl's rescue and told Steve to "please take your items and please leave the store". You guessed it, this caused Steve to fly into a rage. Steve started screaming, "You can't tell me what to do, I am Steve Mapes!" The manager then instructed Steve he must leave now or she was going to call the Lincoln Police Department. At this time Steve started screaming, "Buck You! I can do what I want! "Don't you know who my Dad is?" Steve screamed at them in a red faced rage. The manager then contacted the police as Steve continued screaming at the top of his lungs. Shortly thereafter the Police arrived to drag Steve away and to write him a ticket for disturbing the peace. But wait this story gets better.Later that very evening Steve heard a commotion outside of his house. He hears someone yelling for him to come out in a very, very angry voice. Steve opens his door and there stands the 16 year old girl's Father. As one could understand the poor girl's Father was extremely upset at Steve. The girl's father yells at Steve to come outside of his house so he can get a nice knuckle sandwich. The girl's father was ready to pound little spoiled Steve Mapes Senseless. So does Steve go outside? No. Steve can only pick on under aged girls. Let us not forget Steve is 45 years old. Steve then proceeds to call the police to try and have this angry father removed before he get his hands on Steve. The Police arrive and calm the man down. The angry father is soon calmed and led away by the police. Now, the interesting part of this story is, the angry Father was not cited by the Police. The police understood the man's justified anger and did not charge him with the many offenses they could have charged him with. You see the Lincoln Police Dept. is very familiar with Steve and his issues.
And now the conclusion. It will probably make you happy to know a few days later Steve's truck mysteriously has the windshield busted. Gee, I wonder who did that? Looks like someone served up their own late night brand of revenge on Steve. You don't have to be a betting person to guess what had caused that. Perhaps that poor girl's father slept a little better that night.

Steve Mapes was overheard talking to Stan Liberty of Lincoln Nebraska one day not too long ago. At the time Steve was complaining about his Male room-mate that lived with him. You see Steve's male roommate had a girlfriend. All he wanted to do was spend time his girlfriend and not Steve. You can't blame the guy. Steve started saying "I am getting tired of him always spending time with that blt3h". Steve Mapes was throwing a jealous temper tantrum over the whole thing. Next thing you know Steve starts telling his buddy "I am going to kick them both out unless they find me somebody to be with". Steve Mapes is 50 years old but has not ever had a date with a man or woman. Let us not forget, it was not too terribly long ago when Steve was busted at the U-Stop Convenience Mart for sexually harassing a 16 year old girl. The totally creepy part of Steve sexually harassing that child was, he did it in anger. Steve's encounters with females are homophobic anger based. When Steve had a falling out with the friends they spilled the beans about his past homosexual behavior. Knowing the cat was out of the bag, Steve harassed the young girl in his own confusion to try to prove he was not gay.
Those of us at CCSSM are convinced Steve Mapes of Lincoln Nebraska is a threat to himself and others. This is common knowledge with hundreds of Lincoln residents. This is not your ordinary run of the mill drug addicted maniac. Next time you have a chance to speak with the higher ups in the Lincoln Police Department ask them about Steve Mapes as a harmless joke. Watch for their reaction. I bet you will find they will take a step back and have a look on their face like they have been reminded of a bad memory. We at CCSSM assume the Police are aware of the injustice we recognize. "Steve gets felony drug convictions and gets away with a slap on the wrist, The Police do not like that" one Lincoln resident claims. Another Lincoln Nebraska resident claims, "Every time Steve got busted for crack, his father would keep him out of prison by convincing the courts he would be put in the best treatment programs". Steve would be out on the street smoking crack in a matter of weeks after felony convictions. Anyone else would be sitting in the Prison for years. Now that Steve's father has passed his ability to snake out of these situations has passed. It's only logical that the Police would now have their eye on Steve very closely.
