My book, "Numan" has achieved such popularity I placed it on this blog for readers to have free. It was put in 16 installments, which means the chapters were placed several in an entry and in reverse order, the first chapter winding up on the bottom. I have decided to put the book in proper order with most entries containing only one chapter to ease the reader's ability to read it comfortably.
"Numan" means "nonhaman" is a word used to label anyone in society that is unwanted and capable of being legally killed without it being called a murder. Today, numans are the preborn. They can be killed by simply choosing to do so without having to give a reason. In times past they were called "slaves" or "savages" or "nonaryans (the Germans used this a lot)" or "useless eaters" (who did not contribute to a strong Germany).
Throughout the world and throughout the ages, mankind has one thing in common. We get rid of "unwanted" people.
America has, so far, besides the Ameriican Indian and countless slaves, has disposed of over 50 million "unwanted" people by labeling them as "masses of tissue." Where can this lead? Why, it will lead where it has led before: to more and more exploitation and liberalization of what constitutes a nonhuman.
What will you find in Numan? A story of hope, of what it means to be human. It is a warning of what happens when our rights are eroded.
It is a heart warming story of struggle and survival among the persecuted.
It parrallels the atrocities of America's past and the history of the entire world.
Apparently, if I may say so myself, it is so well written that many of my readers have told me they read it in one or two sittings. It is a gripping book, exciting and keeps you interested. I purposely designed it to make the first chapter exciting and every chapter after that is designed to be more intense with each passing chapter until by the time you get to the last chapter , "The Final Horror," you'll be blown away by it. It changes everything.
About the book: Numan describes a time in the US in the mid 21st centure where the human and civil rights have degenerated so much that life is no longer considered to be sacred. Anyone who is "unwanted" by society (as determined by those in power) is declared to be a "numan" (non human class) and either enslaved or "aborted" (tortured to death) at will. They were considered less than property. They were nothing but "masses of tissue." The laws which, today, has allowed the killing of over 50 million children in the US (as of today's time frame) will allow the killing of hundreds of millions in the future.
Although Numan was written by me, Carl Dobbs, I make my fictional character, "Benjamin Peter Wash" write the book as a historian that is describing the "Numan Civil War" which took the lives of hundreds of millions of people.
Read the prolog. Read the book. You will find it has so many twists, so many interesting characters, and such energy you will - as have so many others - be rivited. Some will read it in one sitting.
Numan is about human rights, civil rights, animal rights, bigotry, mass murder, slavery, supremicism. In the book, some animals obtain human brains. Are they human? Humans have 10 or more percent animal genes. Are they human? A genetically created ape has super-human intelligence and is far more physically capable. Is he human? Does he have the right to claim supremacy and kill the inferiors around him? This book asks the questions. It is up to you to answer them in your own minds. I encourage you to comment on each chapter so I can gage my work.
"Numan" and my other book, "John David, Healer from God" are available in paperback from BarnsandNoble.com for about $20.00 apiece. I am still looking for a publisher for my third book mentioned below.
Please comment on as many chapters as you can. I need the feedback.
Please also read my other book on this site, "John David, Healer from God." And a third, "Kimberly Mae and the Fibble Wibbles" (for the young of heart. It will make you laugh!).
